Hi Ladies,
I just got back from my OB's office.... I had some pain overnight so they did an ultrasound which showed a 6w5d fetus with a HB of 126... and a subchorionic hemorrhage, as big as the baby and it's sack. For those who don't know, it is rare (<1% of pregnancies get this) but I had it with my last pregnancy, and eventually bled out and lost the baby at 8 weeks. I was told the risk of having another one was no greater having had one but I do. I was given basically a 'wait and see' prognosis, and that like last time it could go either way. He did say given my history that is not a positive factor.
I asked if he thought I have a clotting disorder and he said he wouldn't jump to say that but that they can't work me up for it while pregnant because the results would be inaccurate. He said if I do have another loss we'd have to wait 3 months and get worked up for it. I asked about taking baby aspirin or heparin or lovenox but he said where we don't know if it is a clot or a bleed that could make things worse. He said basically to take it easy although studies don't show a difference in outcome by taking it easy, and I am on pelvic rest again.
Please pray for us.... I am so numb right now. I don't know how to cope with another roller coaster for weeks and possibly months ending in another loss.
Thanks.

Ouch, I am so sorry. I will say a prayer for you. I know what it is like to play the wait and see game, not fun at all. (Hugs)

I'm so sorry you have the bleed to add to your uncertainty I have known a couple people with SCH who carried to term and had healthy babies... hoping that you will join them soon!!

Awe Mama, there have been allot of ladies who've graduated from here who's had SCH that have gone on to have successful pregnancies... I'm so very much praying that it resolves it self quickly and the baby is safely snug inside of your womb. My heart aches for you sweetness, this has to be horrifying as you've just been thru it not that long ago but the outcome now CAN be different!!! So I'm praying hard for ya and your little sweetpea

Ahh sweetie, I hope it turns out that it's nothing to worry about. If it helps any, which it probably won't, I have had 2 SCH's early on have 2 kids to show for it. I practically put myself on bedrest though and I also had bleeding around 6 weeks with both. It's actually pretty common, just most people don't know they have it. I hope it resolves and everything is fine. Hang in there and feel free to vent whenever you need to.

I am just lurking. I am in the December DDC. I had a subchorionic hemorrhage with this pg and an episode of heavy bleeding but everything looks good now and the baby is doing well.
I hope you have the same outcome. Good luck!
