I had a pap today. I seriously hadn't been into that office since the day before Patrick was born. I haven't seen my OB/GYN since that day, since I never scheduled a post-partum checkup (I didn't remember I needed to until he was 5 weeks old and I felt great so I decided I didn't need it). But she still remembered my history. Either that or she just read through my records again before she came in, but I didn't need to explain anything.
And as we got talking that DH and I are planning on TTC in December, she got excited. She said "Oh, I love the baby part of this job!" We talked about how she'll give me a prescription for Zofran the moment they confirm my pregnancy so that hopefully it staves off the sickness getting really bad, and she'd be willing to do an ultrasound as early as 6 weeks, but suggest I wait until at least 7 to make sure we are far enough along to see the heartbeat. (she also said something about drawing betas, which I've never had before)
She was so go to me at the end of my pregnancy with Patrick, helping me get through the emotional aspects of pregnancy after Cora's loss, and she already told me she'll help do whatever I need to remain calm during pregnancy.
I'm so glad that even though it'll be my fourth pregnancy she won't expect me to be over it. She's had a couple miscarriages herself, and has been in L&D for most of her life, so she understands I guess.
Anyway, I just love her. Remembering that is helping. I walked in nervous about the becoming pregnant again, and I walked out excited.
Whatever happens, I have good people on my side.
Oh, and today is CD 1! (yeah, started the day I was scheduled for a pap. But, it's not like it was going to be pleasant experience anyway!) Just one more month, omg!!
