My husband and I have been trying to have a family for just over a year now. We unexpectedly got pregnant last November but we lost the baby before we even got to see a heartbeat. Our other 2 losses pretty much mimicked each other; after having a nice healthy strong heartbeat for 3+ weeks the heart stopped. My first 2 pregnancies were natural conceptions and my last one was on our 2nd attempt with IUI. We just completed our 3rd IUI last Saturday so I am currently in the dreaded 2WW. I am very positive that this will eventually happen for us. I know as soon as we get our next BFP I will be a nervous wreck. At least I get to have ultrasounds on a weekly basis...that will be the only thing keeping from going off the deep end!!

and a little about your journey here! I had a mc before #1, then a chemical before #2 then 5 pregnancies. All my kids have come early due to various complications which I've been told aren't related to one another, yet it keeps happening. I've had 2 MC's since then. I'm still holding out for a take home baby... or maybe 2

and a little about your journey here! I Had my son Elijah with no problems.. He was a csection due to him being in the breech position.. Then I decided to start trying for number 2 in Jan 09.. I got pregnant with my first loss in May2009 I lost that baby May 28th 2009.. Then got pregnant after waiting one cycle with my second loss.. Found out July 09 and lost that baby Aug 13th 2009.. I was told to wait cause it was considered a possible eptopic since my HCG numbers kept going up.. I had my first treatment with methotrexate in Sept 2009.. Finally after waiting for what seemed forever we started ttc again. I found out I was pregnant in May 09 again.. I lost that baby June 1st 2010, and then got pregnant by surprise and lost my 4th baby on the one yr angelversary of my second loss so they share the day Aug 13th 2010... Right now I am waiting until I can get testing.

Since our loss (and subsequent year of infertility) we have found out that I have a clotting disorder and hypothyroidism. We are on our second Clomid cycle, and hoping this will be our lucky month!

How long have you been trying: 1 year 5 months.
and a little about your journey here! DH and I started TTC before we got married. I went to the DR because I was having an unusually long, and painful AF and found out I was 8 weeks pregnant. I knew that bleeding that much wasn't a good sign, and they did betas. My numbers were rising but not enough. DR scheduled a D&C, and did another two blood draws, and found out my levels were still rising, did another ultrasound, and found out it was ectopic. Gave me a shot of methotrexate, and that worked. By mid May my levels were at 0 and I was given the ok to ttc. In Nov if I am not PG, then I have to go see him, and talk about our options. For the past two cycles I also have been taking soy, and drinking red raspberry leaf tea.

How long have you been trying: We was not really trying
and a little about your journey here! My name is April dh is Ed he is 36. We got married May 27, 2010 and I got my BFP on Sept 12,2010. I was very shocked and scared at the same time. I have PCOS and we had tried clomid for a couple months before we got pregnant and we decided to take a brake and try in about a year. My dh was not very happy when we found out I was pregnant he was worried about money and not having enough room in our apt. We went in on Oct the 12th for my first OB visit and they could not find a heartbeat. I was not for sure how far along I was just because my cycles are so messed up from my PCOS. So they thought I was either early or had lost the baby. They did a HCG level and called it to me the next day and said that it was really high and that there should have been a heart beat. I had to go back on the 14th for a repeat u/s and still no heart beat. They said that my HCG level was so and that based on my dates that I should have been between 10 and 12 weeks but the baby only measured 7weeks and 4 days. I went in on the 15th and had my d&c. We was so upset! My dh blamed himself since he was not happy to start with. Well I think I have wrote a book. I have been lurking since I lost the baby!!

I have a 7 year old girl with significant special needs (non verbal, epilepsy, non mobile, immune problems, etc, etc but cute as a button!!!). She was conceived no problem and was delivered naturally. She does not yet have a diagnosis so we didn't want to try for another for the fear of it happening again to us. It has been a long road with her, almost losing her twice, and we didn't think we could handle it physically or emotionally if it happened again. Well, that changed this year. I started to panic knowing my 40th bday was approaching and started to worry about my little Ava's future. We decided to try for a sibling for her in hopes that this sibling will be her voice for her and care for her someday when DH and I are not here. I also lost my Mom this year and she was my best friend in the world - we spent each day together, all day, since she lived in an attached in-law apartment to my home. She was a huge help with Ava. Before she passed she gave me her 'blessing' in having another. She was very opinionated and for her to approve was super. Plus, we agreed on a name if it's a girl

and a little about your journey here! I had my copper IUD removed in March 2010 and DH and I waited one cycle to start TTC. I immediately started charting and doing OPKs because I love to know what's going on in my body, and I find the whole process fascinating. We got our very first BFP on 8/31/10 (8 DPO!), but sadly m/c naturally over the weekend of 9/24/10 at 7 weeks. My OB said it was just one of those chance things; I spotted for a few days, had an internal ultrasound and saw the HB, but miscarried three days later. My AF has just returned and we are ready to TTC immediately! I will be taking 80 mg of soy isoflavones CD 2 - 6 since that seemed to work for us last time.

about our journey: My husband and I starting trying almost year ago and I've had 3 miscarriages...2 at 6 weeks and 1 at 4 weeks. I've also been diagnosed with MTHFR disorder (C677T hetero) and have had 1 surgery to remove a severe hemorrhagic ovarian cyst. The surgery was immediately after the 3rd loss. It's been a really emotional, tough year, but we are trying to stay strong and remain hopeful.

and a little about your journey here!
Came here during our first loss in July'09, had a second immediately after August'09 we ttcal at that time we had already been ttc for what 15 cycles? We conceived again on December 25th, 2009 our little Christmas Miracle who we lost February 08th,2010 due to ectopic pregnancy we had started suspecting around my b day Jan 28th or so that it was, after 5 or so u/s's much bloodwork they determined it was and had treated me with methotrexate shots... I sometimes wished they'd o just done survey because perhaps I would still have my left tube functional!
After much testing at RE's office (bloodwork, cycle monitoring, endo biopsy, hsg) everything seemed normal excep for a completely blocked tube on my left side. I'm pretty positive it ruptured during the "labor" from my loss because of the excruciating pain. [/QUOTE]

and a little about your journey here!
I joined JM and TTCAL in late July, early August this year as I was recovering from my ectopic and my body was finally ready to TTC again. I fell in love with the wonderful ladies here, who helped me so much in my emotional recovery!!! I imagined I would be TTC quite some time with 1 tube and was resigned to that, but miraculously I got a BFP on my very first cycle trying, and so far so good!! I am still lurking around because I'm too attached to the ladies and the TTCAL community, I am always stalking and seeing how everyone is doing, and sometimes I chime in on threads... and of course I can't help but wonder if I may be back here again very soon, I'm still in my 1st tri and have had a few scares... anyway, I <3 the TTCAL Board!!

How long have you been trying: We got lucky and tried for baby #2 and got pregnant on the first cycle. Unfortunately that baby couldn't hold on. Currently I'm SO ready to start ttc again but am waiting for my period to return.
and a little about your journey here!
I'm the mom of a proud 4 year old little girl, Hailey, who arrived with no complications whatsoever. We waited a while before trying for baby #2 and were so excited to get pregnant again. Little did we know we would lose the baby.
I had gone in for an u/s one week and measured 7 weeks, 4 days. We saw the heartbeat and all looked well. The next week I started spotting dark blood, so didn't think it was anything major. I went in the next day for an u/s and there was no heartbeat. We were shocked and devastated. On 9/30, I had a d&c and here we are. Trying to heal and move on somewhat and waiting for my period to begin again so we can ttc again.

How many Angels: Four as of now, five is possible soon
How long have you been trying: Only 6 months, but all those loses (except one) have been in that time span.
and a little about your journey here: I had a really rotten miscarriage/d&c back in July and wanted a place where I could talk about the emotions behind it (since my hubby didn't understand and loss is so taboo). I was so glad to find this room, but really thought I would be in and out in a month or so. Now, three months later I have lost two more pregnancies and don't have a lot of hope for the one at this moment. So, I can not be more grateful for the ladies in this room. I feel so loved and welcomed, even though I have not been here long. It is my favorite place to come in the morning

How long have you been trying: Actively since August
and a little about your journey here! - Started NTP in January, got a BFP in July on my 4th cycle ( I have irregular cycles). Had an early u/s to date the pregnancy, and baby was small with a slow heartbeat (should've been 8w0d based on LMP but was only measuring around 6 weeks... OB/GYN said it was possible I just ovulated late and was really only 6 weeks along). Heartbeat was gone at the ultrasound the following week, and growth was still just at 6 weeks. Had a D&C the next day and it took 56 days for AF to show. Am now in the 2WW on my 2nd cycle after m/c.
