A little catch up on me- I am 42 (just turned in Oct) and have been trying for 3 years to get pregnant, I have been pregnant 5 times and miscarried all of them at 6-8 weeks- I have had all the miscarriage testing done and just repeated all of them again along w chromosome testing- well the results came in yesterday and they all came back normal- My question is I have a 6 FSH and am healthy, my husband count is great w great mobility and count- my doctor says he can't do more- but I have found a fertility clinic in Houston about 5 hours away ( I live in Longview) that will consult w my records and see if they can help- should I have my records transfered there and see- or just hang it up- I can get pregnant but not keep it, I feel like they are missing something but don't want to keep going through more losses- I do have 2 children 14 and 18- My Doctor here says he won't do no more and IVF wouldnt work because your miscarriage rate is higher- I just feel like they are missing some type of hormone or something- help

I am so sorry for you losses. It is always hard to welcome new ladies to this board.

I grew up in Longview. Are you at the fertility clinic in Shreveport or is this your regular OB/GYN in Longview? My sister has great things to say about Shreveport. If you are at your OB/GYN, I would have all the testing redone. My family has not had a single good experience at anything associated with The Diagnostic Clinic.

Have you looking into fertility clinics in Dallas? It is a much shorter drive than Houston. If none in Dallas will take your case, then I would go to Houston. I just cannot trust the medical system in that town. I have seen too many misdiagnoses that have resulted in major errors in healthcare.

Again, I am so sorry for your losses. I hope you find answers soon and please - feel free to PM me if you have any questions.

Kat.

I am so sorry for your losses It sounds like you have had a really rough journey.

If I were you, I would go to the other clinic and see if they have any extra tests to run. And I have heard of doctors who will treat a patient with unexplained recurrent miscarriage with blood thinners on the theory that there is a clotting disorder that they aren't testing for. If you post the tests your doctor has run, we could see if there's anything obvious that's missing.

You should absolutely keep trying. I have had 6 mc's and my Dr decided it was time for an IVF. And when I went for my mock transfer, they had to put a camera up there and they finally found something. I would definately get your records over to the other doctor. The more eyes/brains on your case the better. Good luck.

I'm so sorry about your losses.
Have you seen an RE yet for a u/s? Even if you are not ready to do IVF, an RE can give you so much more information about the why's. They are much better at looking outside the box for infertility reasons.

As an aside my first 3 losses where do to a uterine cyst that my regular OB never saw, but the RE saw immediately.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I agree with the others. I would take your records to another doctor in hopes that they will find the missing link!
