My Peri’s office just called me. First to just check to see if I was ok. But then they want me to come in for a bunch of additional tests. They have my workup from the RE from before DS, but with the additional losses they want to do an autoimmune work up and then since I now have had 6 losses they are talking about doing a chromosomal workup on me and DH. He said he wants to have all the data back before we get pregnant again in case there is something there causing the losses that could be easily treated.
They put me on the schedule for right after I see the OB for my follow up on the 11th for the D&C.

I feel lucky that I have such an awesome doctor- but what if they find something that indicates I can’t have any more babies???

Good luck with all the testing. I'm glad that they are doing all sort of test. I know that you are worry about the possibility, but stay positive. I'm hoping it's something that can be easily treated.

It might be easier to find something because then they may be able to fix it. I know it is hard but I have had 6 losses in a row and have done ALL the testing and they cannot find anything at all. So it makes it hard to keep trying knowing that it may happen again and there is nothing they can do. Good luck!

How great that you have such a pro-active doctor! I know it is so scary to get testing done I hope that if they find something, it is easy to treat and you have your rainbow baby in no time!

Wow, what an awesome Doctor you have. I hope if they find something it's easily treated. I know it's hard to keep trying but hopefully it was just bad luck and you'll get your rainbow baby.

Your Peri is AWESOME!!!! That's great Sam that they're so thorough

Did your autoimmune workup show anything or are they doing that AND the genetics?

I have Hashimotos (hypothyroid) and I know my last levels were off, and he adjusted my meds. I don't think anyone has run a full autoimmune panel on me ever. I'm also going to ask that they re-do the FSH panel that they did at the RE's office because it was 2 years ago.
The genetic stuff is completely optional- and at this point it can't hurt. I know I have one perfect son, so I know I have some good eggs in there, but I guess so reassurance would help.

I am glad they are taking a proactive approach to your ttc. I am sure it makes you feel like things are being watched over nicely. Hang in there and I hope you get some answers so that you can get another healthy baby here soon...
