.... packaging for chicken. I mean really, it's so difficult to find a package of chicken that is below 1.8 pounds... and even then, there's only 3 breasts in that package. What does anyone need with chicken breasts that are over 0.5 pounds each? Even with repackaging the breasts into freezer bags with two breasts/bag, it's still more chicken than DH and I need. Maybe I should start cutting the breasts in half and then repackaging them....

That annoys me too! We've started cutting them in half and putting the halves we aren't using at the moment in a freezer bag. My kids definitely will not eat a huge chicken breast, not even if I share one between the two of them. If we don't cut them in half it goes to waste.

LOL- so true!!
I but the big bag of frozen breasts and will many times just take one out and cut it in half. I repackage a lot of meat. I love my food saver!

I usually buy the chicken tenders instead. Tastes the same as breasts, but they are smaller, cook faster, and are easier to put half or more in freezer bags

We buy the tenders sometimes too. I'm glad I'm not the only one annoyed!

I do this same thing. My husband takes leftovers to work for lunch though, so oftentimes he'll eat half and then put the other half in the fridge for lunch. Most often though I'm making things like stirfry anyway, so it's all getting cut up anyway.

I have a huge phobia about raw chicken - can't stand it! I actually leave the room when my husband is cutting it up. But I know exactly what you mean - who on earth could eat an entire chicken breast in one sitting!!! Their breasts are massive - poor little things! Talk about your back problems! We do buy the tenders, even for stir fry - my DH actually uses kitchen shears to just cut the tenders into pieces.
