Husband wants me to take fish oil (the vitamin)... Is it safe during TTC? I know you should not eat fish when pregnant but is this different?

I take a prenatal Omega 3 (which is the nutrient that you want from the fish oil). Find out what kind of fish your fish oils are from (the concern is the mercury levels so some fish are definitely out). But if you're worried, look for a prenatal one.

Kim said it the best!

I have off/on thru ttc, it's safe and even suggested... good for your heart and if I'm not mistaken it has good benefits for your CM as well

Thanks for stalking. I don't post here often, but I am lurking. I promise to update you all when our baby is here (about 6 weeks to go).

I was taking Omega 3 all through my last pregnancy. Totally safe. I just hate the yucky fish burps I would get from it, lol

It is the mercury that is a problem. I did research on the different brands because not all are mercury free. I take the Nature Made fish oil because they claim to be mercury free.

My OB told me that the Omega 3 is fine, but not to take 6 or 9. i didn't ask why, so I can't give you a reason.
