At my last few OB appts my baby boy's heart has been skipping a beat so my OB referred me to a peri to have a fetal echocardiogram to check on his heart. It just so happens to be the same peri that diagnosed Lilly's trisomy 18 so I'm pretty nervous as it's not a place I really ever wanted to go back to...Would you all please keep my little guy in your thoughts and prayers. I hope everything is OK with his heart and I don't have a panic attack just walking into that building

You'll be in our thoughts and prayers. I've had echos with half my kids so I know how nerve racking it can be. Hopefully, they find nothing wrong.

Thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. My appt went very well except that I almost passed out during the ultrasound...a combination of nerves and laying on my back too long didn't sit well with my body.
So what we found out was that whatever his heart is doing (it's complicated and I didn't really understand) corrects itself once the baby takes their first breath. He said it was something that we should just ignore. I couldn't have heard better news, besides there not being a skip in the first place but whatever.
I hope I never have to go back to that place again, apparently even my body doesn't like to be there since I've passed out or almost passed out every time I've been there.

I'm so glad it went well. I could never understand why they think pregnant women can lay on their backs for so long when the whole pregnancy they tell us not to do it. It's probably a PDA which is common and does close. Yeah for everything being ok. I can't wait to hear the birth announcement. You give us all hope.
