Just wondering if anyone ever had any luck using baby aspirin with either TTC or preventing additional miscarriages. I started taking it during TTC now, but I don't know too much about it besides that it's supposed to help blood flow. Not sure if I will continue once we get pregnant but I figured it couldn't hurt for now.

A friend of mine just told me about this and I just started taking a baby aspirin each day over the weekend. I think it depends on your doctor. I'm curious what other people have been told also.

Hi Ladies.. I am going to step on the medical soap box, You should check with your dr before starting a baby Aspirin.. While it is only a baby aspirin taking it every day it becomes a blood thinner.

OK steping down... Now thier is confliting studies that it "increases" blood flow. What it does do however.. IF you have a clotting disorder (Like I do) It "can" prevent blood clots from forming invetro...

I was put on a baby aspirin after Ovulation... (If you take it before ovulation you can leutinze your eggs.. and not release a vible egg) I did this for 4 cycles.. 3 of those cycles I was on clomid.. I concieved twins on the 3rd cycle of clomid. I was on baby aspirin until 36 wks.. (which I didn't make... and this was a concern.. since it is a blood thinner)

I would suggest you talking to your Dr. If he can run the basic blood clotting tests, and talk to them about baby aspirin.. . So he can document it into your chart.

GOOD LUCK LADIES!

I don't mind your soapbox at all. Thank you for the information. That's why I love these forums. I'll definitely talk to her before I continue. I only took it for 3-4 days so glad to know the additional info. They don't tell you all of that when you just read about it. I didn't know that it would have that drastic of an effect just being a baby aspirin. Thanks again! Appreciate it.

Yeah, I thought about doing that since we're trying to get pregnant so quickly, but when I saw what it can do if you take it before you O... Well it scared me off

I am taking baby asprin, but my doctor told me to...I got a positive back for a blood clotting disorder, then 12 weeks a negative...I think we are doing it for "just in case"...I didn't know that Kary! I started taking it a few days before I O'd...Do you think since it was only 2-3 days before O, that it should be fine? If i'm not pregnant this cycle i'll stop till after my next O..Thanks for the info!!!

I also wanted to add that I was on baby aspirin from ovulation until BFP. The first cycle with the BA, I had a confirmed pregnancy, and I was switched to Lovenox (daily injections of blood thinners). I am on the blood thinners because I have 3 clotting disorders. MTHfR, which is a variation of Kary's clotting disorder, as well as Protien C and S deficiency. The protien S is pretty severe - my last count was 17, with anything below 69 considered a clotting disorder.

I would def. talk to your doctor - if you have normal blood clot times, daily baby aspirin can be very dangerous.

Thanks for this info. I think I'll talk with my doctor before continuing them.
