do you believe this statement? a nurse friend of mine said through all her schooling, she learned that a woman who tries again right after a loss is more at risk for another loss. Then she also said that she's seen many women go on to have healthy pregnancies (she's a nurse at my OB's office).

So what do you think? I've been stressing myself over all this and I hate just not knowing what to believe.

Every doctor I have talked to (my OB plus several doctor friends of mine) have all said that it is OK to start TTC after your regular AF returns (not counting your m/c as an AF). I had a natural m/c, so I'm not sure if it's any different for those who have had a D&C...

The newest reports out there say the best time to conceive after an early miscarriage is right away as they say you are more fertile.

If you have a late mc or stillbirth, you are asked to wait longer. And I've seen plenty of women go on to have healthy babies right after mc'g.

wish you the best hun.

I think that if your body is not ready it won't happen . I was told by my RE the standard was to wait until your 3rd cycle after loss, however they woudl work with me as soon as normal AF returned ... Good luck !!!

I really do think that every woman is different in this case. Some might have very few "negative" affects from the miscarriage or pregnancy loss and might be perfectly fine to concieve before the next period even shows. The lining might be healthy and the egg might just be "asking" to implant. I have heard of many folks who concieve immediately after miscarriage and have absolutely healthy, happy pregnancies.

Then, I really do think that we tried too early. Since my miscarriage and D & C, I have had nothing but miscarriages. I sometimes wonder if I really threw something off in my body and that we should have waited 3 or 4 months before trying again. I wonder if things would have been different. I mean, looking back is always easier to second guess yourself. But I do think that some women might not recover from the "first" (or primary) miscarriage as quickly and getting pregnant too quick might cause another miscarriage or chemical pregnancy. It could be that the lining was not healthy enough, the hormones had not had time to recover, or the body was just not ready.

I think that you should go with your gut on this one. If you really feel you are ready emotionally and feel good physically (didn't bleed for long, sex doesn't hurt, period showed normally, etc), I think you should go for it. If you are really torn or you feel your body is not quite "normal" again, you might want to consider waiting. I do believe that you are the best person to know what your body can handle and what you can deal with emotionally. I don't think any doctor can give you the "correct" answer in this regard.

Good luck with your choice. I really, really hope all works out wonderfully for you (whatever you decide). My thoughts and prayers go out to you

I think it depends on the MC. Some are harder than others and may take some time to heal. We conceived our only ds after a mc, first month. I figure if my body is ready, then it will happen and if not, then it won't.
