Appointment went alright today. DH actually went this time. My bp was fine. I think it was like 104/68 or something like that. The nurse couldn't get the hb with the doppler. She tried for a few minutes and couldn't find it. I started crying.
PA came in and did my pap and checked my uterus, etc. She said everything was fine except that I had a yeast infection. After that they did an u/s and had trouble getting the hb on the u/s. After a little bit they could see the baby moving, but just couldn't get the bpm. Baby was bouncing around like crazy. Finally after at least 5 minutes she got it. It was 171. They said my uterus was very tilted and it was even hard to see the baby. They almost had to do a t/v u/s. I was told not to use my doppler at home until they can find it using the doppler at the office. Not sure if I can wait 4 weeks for that. DH said he was going to hide it.
I guess now that they did that u/s, I will not have one at 12w. I am not really too happy about that. I am hoping that they will let me have one right before Christmas so we can tell everyone. DH wants to tell at Thanksgiving, but I don't.
Next appointment is December 10.

Lisa, Im happy that things are moving along so smoothly for you, but the tone I got from your post is that you are unhappy. Are you ok? Im not meaning to pry, its a wonderful update and I may just be picking up the associated fear we have when preg after a loss... Im not sure, I just want to know you are ok. ~hugs~~
Did you get a picture of your bean? Id love to see!!

I will post the pics soon. They are hard to see b/c I didn't drink a whole lot of fluids this morning and my uterus was tilted so they had some trouble. They couldn't even get any measurements. Only the bpm.

Lisa, that is really great news, hon I'm sorry that it was hard for them to get the measurements, but yay for a super bouncy baby! And what a cutie too!
I'm sure it is tough sometimes to stay positive, Lisa, even when things seem to be going well. Maybe even especially then. I'm here if you need to talk

Thanks again ladies. I wish they could have got measurements, but that isn't a deal breaker. I did notice on the u/s pics it says 2 +3 trimester. I am still in my 1st though. Hope I am not showing that I should be in my 2nd. That would be nice, but it would be an alien baby b/c we didn't dtd then. LOL
Tobi- I have a feeling it is a girl. Dh swore last time I was pg with a girl though. Now he won't he say what he thinks it is. He said it is too early to ask him later. LOL Can't really go by the hb though b/c I think it is high this early. Last pregnancy it was at 181 at 8weeks. Who knows. I think my dr. may do the anatomy scan around 18-20w. Last time they were going to schedule it for 18w.

Yeah! I love updates! I'm so glad everything is looking good. Maybe that little gymnast won't hold still again and they'll have to do another u/s at 12 weeks.
You could always beg and break out the tears too
KUP and thanks for sharing your pics.

Lisa,
What a great update! I was thinking about you the other day. It is very scary to be pregnant after a loss, especially after what you have gone through. Even today, when I can feel him kicking like crazy and I can watch him breath on the ultrasound - that fraction of second from when she turns on the heartbeat monitor to you actually hear the heartbeat makes my heart stop with panic.
Hang in there, it does get a little better in the 2nd/3rd tri.
I am so very happy for you!!!!
Kat.

Wonderful news! I am happy that you've got a good pregnancy! I didn't hear the HB on the doppler until 14 weeks! I have a tilted uterus AND an anterior placenta!
