I have been lurking for a few days now on this board and thought I'd take a minute to introduce myself and share my story.

My name is Christy and I have 2 children, a 6 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. About a year ago, I was in serious negotiations with my DH to have a 3rd baby. He finally agreed and I became pregnant in September. I had an ultrasound @ 7w5d, but the baby was only measuring 5w6d w/o a heartbeat. Even though my dates were accurate, my doc and I decided to give it 2 weeks for a follow-up ultrasound, just in case. Next time I went in, she couldn't even measure the baby anymore, but the sac had grown just like normal. She told me that she suspected a molar pregnancy. I had my HCG levels drawn and she told me they were high, above 250,000 @ almost 10 weeks. (I have no idea what is considered normal) So, last Monday I had a D&C and the pathology came back not molar. I am so VERY relieved that it was not a molar pregnancy. I feel like I have been trapped inside a nightmare for the last month.

I feel devastated by all that has happened, but I'm ready to put this all behind me and move on. I'm hoping to start trying again when my body is ready. I look forward to getting to know you ladies. From what I have seen though my lurking, you all seem very nice.
