Today is cd18 of our first cycle ttc after my d&c. I've told you before that I'm the type of person that heals best when I'm able to try again, so I've found a lot of healing this cycle. As far and ttc has gone, I've been almost serene as I've been watching the numbers climb on my CBEFM. I didn't even get shaken when I was still at one bar on cd16, because I've noticed that if I don't O around cd 16 or 17 then I do around cd21. So that's what I've been holding out for. DH and I have been trying to bd regularly. Problem is, he's having performance issues. This has happened one time EVERY time we've ttc, so when it happened the other night I was a little down, but it didn't shake the serenity too much. I was still at one bar, and like I said it always happens once. Well, now we're up to 3 times in a row. Obviously the serenity was shaken, but then it was shattered this morning when my CBEFM went from one bar yesterday to 3 today... meaning I'm Oing in the near future. He doesn't know what's going on and neither do I, but I can tell you the idea that this cycle will be a wash is really setting me back in the healing department. I'm having him call the doctor today to see if he can prescribe something so that we're not out. I just don't know what else to do. Thank you so much for listening ladies, I don't know what I would do without you.

I'm so sorry, Lori I know how much it can bring you down when you think that TTC for a cycle isn't going to work out. It's awful, and I'm sorry you have to worry about that this cycle. I hope that you guys are able to work something out. Has your DH ever talked to his doctor about this before?

Hugs! DH started having the same thing and I think it was the pressure on him... so what I did was surprised him in a sexy outfit one night... we DTD in the bathroom the one night... just spiced things up a little bit and tried to take the pressure away and add the fun back in. Hope this helps!

I went though the same thing with my DH way back in early spring, it was my fault I was way too obsessed with TTC , and for many men it ruins the mood for them when they feel were wanting to BD just to get pregnant, its not about pure enjoyment anymore. and they feel pressure to have to perform this can make things worse. well we just stopped TTC I lost weight, making love was no longer all about making a baby.it was just for fun again, and thats when I got pregnant.

This happened to Dh once, it was the pressure of TTC and the tress from the move and work.
I know men don't like to call their doctors so I hope he does and there is something that they can do. Maybe spicing things up a little will do the trick.

Happened here too! It was the "pressure to perform"... so I stopped telling him so much about TTC and talked away in here. Haven't had a problem since

same here I just dont say anything. especially saying things like I am fertile time to BD threw the mood away for him.

This is exactly what I was thinking. Seduce him tonight without a word about fertility, something out of the ordinary, maybe a fantasy of his... (Got the cash to splurge on a Catholic School Girl outfit? ) If he isn't able to perform tonight, try not to be too upset in front of him. Come vent here all you want! We won't get performance anxiety

Thank you so much for the support ladies! DH has never talked to the dr about this before, since it's only ever been a problem once out of every ttc cycle. We always attributed it to the pressure to perform. This is the first time it's ever gone on more than just one night. I was more than willing to try to spice it up, but I was so afraid that it wouldn't work and we'd miss our chance. He was such a sweety, and he called the dr's office today. He left a message for the nurse first thing this morning, who then talks to the dr to see if she can just call in a prescription or if he wants to see the patient. She called DH around 1pm and told him the dr wanted to see him, but that he couldn't do it today, because he left for the day to do rounds at the hospital. DH told her that that wasn't acceptable, that he'd be more than happy to see him tomorrow or Monday, but that something needed to be called in today since I'm ovulating. When she started to refuse DH told her about our loss, and how trying again is key to my healing. He told her about the 3 preggos at work and how hard this is for me, and how devastated I would be if we weren't able to at least try this cycle. He told her that I'm under enough stress and have had enough heartache, and that he doesn't want to contribute to more of that in any way. She told him that she would page the dr and tell him what DH said. About 20 minutes later she called back and told DH that the dr had agreed to call in 3 pills, and that he'd see him on Monday. I am so thankful to have such a loving husband. At times I've wondered if he realizes how important all of this is to me, and today he proved that he does. He may not know exactly how I feel, or what I'm going through, but he's shown that he is willing to help me get through this any way he can. For that I will be forever grateful! He even made me chocolate covered pretzels for snack tonight. I love this man!

TTC was the only way I healed from my loss too. I think its a normal reaction to want to try again. how great of your DH to call in like that!, I hope you catch the egg!.

He's a keeper girlie. You have yourself a very selfless man. It's hard for a guy to admit that there might be something going on "down there", let alone tell someone else about it. I wonder if he will even need them now that he has them. The pressure is off now that he knows he can just pop a pill.

this exact same thing happened to us. My DH was rattled from the m/c and then there was the stress to perform on a certain day. it was all just too much for him. we had to take a step back and regroup. it was difficult to do, but it definitely solved the problem. I think the more stress i showed the worse it got for him. good luck hun, i know how you feel so i offer big hugs!!
