So I'm 29 days postpartum now and getting pretty much stark white OPKs for the past week. That's fine and all, I'd be super lucky if I were ovulating this soon... But the thing is, I've taken my temp a few times, and it's like my post-O temps from back when I used to chart the first time around. So I'm wondering if my hormones are still all wacky from the pregnancy (since progresterone maintains a pregnancy and is also what causes post-O temps to rise, maybe I still just have too much progesterone floating around?), or if I O'd super early and am already post-O (in which case I'm obviously out, DH and I haven't BD'd since Drew was born). This isn't helping I just want to either get a + OPK or get AF, something to just give me an answer. (Although obviously I'd rather get the + OPK )

i'd say you are probably still wacky from pregnancy...Your pregnancy was full term, so it will probably take a little longer for things to get back to normal

Yep, I would guess you are still all messed up from being pregnant. That can take a while to get sorted out, why most women don't get a period for 6 weeks or more after giving birth. Be patient with yourself, your body is trying to sort out what is happening and it will come back to ya! And hopefully all will be all primed to give you a BFP!!

Not everyone gets AF exactly 6 weeks after they have a baby...I've had 4 full term births and they were all different...Also, just after having a miscarriage it took me 2 months to get AF back, both times.

I believe it depends on the woman. some women take longer for AF to show.

Okay, so the timer on my BBT seems to be broken... It won't beep no matter how long I leave it there. So when I was getting my high temps (97.74 - 98.74), I was counting to 60 and then taking it out. This morning when I counted to 60 I only made it to 97.25! Yay, temps are going back to the normal range!!! But then I was like, "Was that a minute? That's so low!" So I grabbed my phone off the bedside table and timed a minute and got 97.34. So then I thought, maybe a minute just isn't long enough, so I left it in for 2 & 1/2 and got 97.48. I'm assuming those temp rises are just from the little bit of wiggling around associated with grabbing the phone, clearing the phone, moving my underwear and holding it out of the way, moving my legs, etc., and not from leaving it in longer. I think I remember reading that when you're temping, the first temp is more accurate if you do multiple temps in a row for some reason.
So I'm thinking 97.25 is the accurate one, then...? And maybe tomorrow morning I'll make sure to leave it in for 2 mins just to be certain...?
ETA: Problem solved, just went and bought a new one
