Besides Turkey and stuffing what dishes do you make for Thanksgiving dinner?
Since the boys will be at their dad's I am making Thanksgiving tomorrow and was wondering if anyone had some good ideas for side dishes.

My parents make yams, rhodes rolls, and mashed potatoes. They also go to the local pie shop--which is amazing, and get a banana cream pie, lemon and sour cream pie, lemon and whipped cream pie, and a pumpkin pie. (one for everyone. Mines the lemon sour cream. YUM!)

I always make green bean casserole, company potatoes, rice and beans (which DH complains are nothing like his Mom's) and fluffy fruit salad.

Gonna have to reiterate the sweet potato casserole, that's my favorite side dish for the whole meal. Can even double as a dessert... Toasted marshmallows on top, mmmm...

We're going to my MIL's on Thanksgiving, so I'm going to make our own turkey dinner over the weekend.... I think I'm going to do stuffing, acorn squash with butter and brown sugar, and maybe asparagus (because it's our favorite )

This is what we are having other than turkey and ham:
Gravy
Stuffing
Mashed Taters
Squash Casserole
Deviled Eggs
Tater salad
Rolls
Cornbread Casserole with Fresh Corn and Green Onions (trying this out for the first time...saw it in the Deen Bros cookbook and it looked pretty good)
Buttermilk Pie
Pecan Pie
We always have a lot of food lol.
