My Dr. called with my results.

Spud - was a boy and it was Trisomy 18 or Edwards Syndrome. Nothing that can be done to prevent it, it just happens. Most babies die before birth, those that do survive have severe mental retardation and physical problems.

Me- My thyroid is still out of whack. My free T3’s are way too high. Which is then suppressing something else- totally missed that, thinking he said it was my TSH. We are changing my meds again and retesting in three weeks.
I also had a high CRP which tests the C-reactive protein and measures inflammation. It was super high. I’m thinking it is higher than it should be because I was still in the middle of the stomach virus. But we are going to do some dietary changes just to make sure.
Other than that I’m fine, nothing else that would cause an issue. Other than my age, which again based on the RE’s report about my ovaries which were very ‘young’ looking shouldn’t be an issue, but does make me scared because of the Trisomy 18 because age does increase that risk.

I am sure it is relieving to know that there is nothing wrong with you to keep you from TTC again. Hopefully the next one will be it!

Sam....I'm sorry....I know it's hard to hear but I hope this gives you some closure.
About the age part, it scares the crap out of me as well.....I know with age many risk increases....that's why I am pushing the second kid now and not wait.

I'm glad you have an answer although it never makes it any easier. Hopefully your levels will all level out and you'll be holding a new baby in your arms ASAP!

What dietary changes are you making Sam? I am so sorry about your baby boy. Are you going to name him?

Sam I'm sorry. My words cannot express what my heart feels for you hon, but I'm sending you a big shoulder rubbing hug to ya

Have your dr's explored autoimmune diseases/disorder? I'm having a brainfart.
