I bought 3 books not too long ago, all by this same author, Jodi Picoult. I had heard wonderful things about her writing so when I saw them at Costco, I picked some up.
The first (and only) one that Ive read, is called Handle With Care. My advice? Dont read it. She is an excellent writer, dont get me wrong. She involves you with the characters, makes you care about them!!! but at the end, you arent going to see the deception coming! I cried. I finished reading it just as my hun was coming up to let me know dinner was ready. I cried through dinner, and when I told him about it, I could barely get the ending to come out of my mouth.
I seriously doubt Ill be reading the other 2. Im going to read a good Stephen King novel instead.
Holy!!
(Maybe my emotional state is a side effect from the femara, but god, it doesnt change the fact that it was soooo sooo sad!!)

I highly recommend The In The Garden trilogy by Nora Roberts (Blue Dahlia, Black Rose, and Red Lily) But Stephen King is always great.
I LOVE reading!

Thanks for the warning! Who are your favorite authors? I used to read books all the time, now I read JM more than I ever read books! I don't know if that is a good or bad thing...

I adore Nora Roberts too. I've now read 3 or 4 books of Jodi Picoult. I'm not a huge fan. She's really depressing. I have enough depression in my life without reading her books.

Thanks for the warning, I was kind of hoping the other 2 would be better but I guess not! Absolutely, no extra sadness needed here either!

I read My Sister's Keeper by Jodi Picoult, and it was exactly like you said. She is an amazing author- draws you in, keeps you interested, makes you care about the characters, and then BAM you're crying for hours on end! I really like James Patterson. He's a very good crime and mystery author if that's your thing!

I am into his women's murder club series right now and I really like them. It's easy reading and he keeps your attention throughout the book. I tend to get bored about halfway through books, but have not yet and am on my fifth book in the series. When I am done with this series I may try his Alex Cross series.

My mom bought me "My Sister's Keeper" years before it was even thought about being produced as a movie. I still haven't even read it since the movie has come out AND I have not watched the movie because I haven't read the book. LOL
Thanks for the warning.

Has anyone read any of Johanna Lindseys books? I read one on our honeymoon and loved it. Very fluffy romance book.
