I'm still spotting. Mostly brown when I wipe. It has never made it to my panty liner. But this morning I had bright red when I wiped. And then the next time I checked...it was brown again.

I have to wait until mon. for the blood work. I really wish if I am going to miscarry that it would just go ahead and do it. I just don't know what to think. I've read a thousand articles...and it's 50/50 on any spotting. I get my hopes up and then the bright red blood just pulled them down again.

For those that have had early miscarriages without d and c's how long did it take after the spotting did the miscarriage occur? Could I be doing this for weeks?

Amanda I m so sorry you're going through this. Of course I hope it isn't a miscarriage but even all the stress that spotting causes is horrible. I hope it's a sticky baby and stays put.
I've had two miscarriages and one of them was an early one and happened naturally with no D&C. I started spotting on a Saturday afternoon but within a few hours I was wearing a pad and by Sunday I was full on bleeding and passing tissue and by the time I got an u/s on the Monday it was over.
I think you have a great chance that this is random pregnancy spotting. I've even heard of women having full on bleeding and keeping their babies.
With my second miscarriage I had full on bleeding but the sac stayed put even after I thought it was over and even after I used cytotec to get it out. Actually with my second miscarriage the bleeding wasn't even related to what was going on with the baby - it was because of a subchrionic hematoma, a pooling and clotting of blood by the placenta. And I have known other women on here that had full on bleeding and no miscarriage.. so have some hope and I hope tomorrow you find out it's just harmless spotting.

I'm sorry this is still going on

With my last miscarriage I spotted on and off till I was 6 weeks, then at 7 weeks 2 days I started bleeding red blood...I had 3 ultrasounds from then till 8 weeks and baby was still alive (the whole time I was gushing and passing big clots, it never stopped)...Then at 8 weeks 6 days I started cramping and miscarried the next day at 9 weeks...I think as long as your not cramping that there's a good chance that things will be alright...Oh and my cramping wasn't just mild, it was strong and painful almost like labor pains...I hope the spotting stops! (((hugs)))

I'm sorry to hear this Amanda

with Judy, she has allot og good points. You may not be miscarrying at all, just some early pregnancy spotting and bleeding due to a number of things. You know you can always go to the ER and tell them you're pregnant having some red bleeding.... they'd check your bloodwork there, but just know it might be off from your regular lab altho it'll give you an idea of where you're at at least. They will more than likely do an u/s as well.

I had a natural miscarriage and started spotting and then had full on bleeding by that night and yes there were cramps too. If you are not bleeding enough for a pad by this time your chances are better that it is not a miscarriage. Sorry you have to wait so long. Good luck.

I am lurking but I wanted to share my experience with you. I had a natural miscarriage back in December of 2008. I started spotting in November, I didnt know I was pregnant at the time and I think some of it may have been implantation bleeding. I had been having abnormal periods. I didnt have a period in July, august, or september and I did have one in October and didnt have one in november. I just thought is was my cycle messing up again. I spotted on November 20th 23rd and 27th and pregnancy never entered my mind because we were not trying. It was a surprise pregnancy. On December 1st I started thinking what if I am pregnant so I took a test and it was positive and I was so excited. I stated spotting that same evening. I went to the Er and they did blood work and an ultrasound. They saw the sac but they said the bloodwork came back and my hcg levels were not enough to sustain a viable pregnancy for as far along as I was. I started bleeding heavier that next day and went back to the hospital and they did another Ultrasound and said there was nothing there anymore. I started bleeding worse and passing clots that night. By December 4th I thought I had passed the baby but my HCG levels kept rising and this went on until December 18th when my Hcg levels had went down drastically. I bled until december 25th and was so glad because I was so tired of bleeding. I hope that you are not miscarrying and are having a normal pregnancy that will result in a beautiful healthy baby. I will keep you this in my prayers.

I'm sorry gou are going through this at all. If you aren't cramping though, that is a good sign. I spotted around 6 weeks with one of my pregnancies. It lasted for 2 weeks and they thought maybe I was miscarrying a twin. With a different pregnancy I bled for a week and it turned out I had a sch. It eventually healed.
With my mc at 8wks, I had a gush of blood, then brown spotting for 3 days with horrible cramps. On the 5th day I started passing clots and my blood work came back at only 45. I passed the sac that night and a couple days later an ultrasound showed nothing left.
I hope you have a stuborn sticky bean In there.
