How long have you been trying: We NTNP for about a year and a half or so before we conceived our angel and actively TTC'd for 2 years before IVF got me pg again.
My journey: I hope that you don't mind that I keep lurking here. This board was so important to me after my loss and I hope that I can help others find solace after their loss. I wish that no one would have to experience the pain of a loss.

Hi all! I had trouble conceiving with my first child (age 5) it took about 13 months. My second child (age 3), surprisingly, was conceived in our first month trying. Since then, we have not used any BC. We have been actively trying for a third for 6 months. In July I found out I was pregnant. We lost our baby in October at 14 weeks. We now know that a third baby is a part of our family. On one hand I was ready to try last month - on the other, I am so scared to live through this again, for my kids and dh to live through this again. So I wanted to try talking with people who have been there and understand. So far - you all have been great - I so appreciate your thoughts!!!

How long have you been trying: It took 15 months with DS, so far this time it's been 6 months with 2 losses.
My journey: I started to TTC officially in April 2008, when DH and I got married. We had our first BFP and lost that July, followed by a second in October. Saw an RE and was diagnosed with a Uterine cyst and Hashimotos. Also had a loss that month too (December- on Christmas day). Had surgery in January to remove the cyst and he also looked at everything while there. All clear on everything. Used MA to conceive faster, got my BFP in May with Twins, lost one twin fairly early. DS was born in January 2010. Perfect and healthy! We started TTC again in July, got a BFP in August and lost it at 4.5 weeks, next cycle we got another BFP and lost him at 9.5 weeks to Trisomy 18, had a D&C on Oct 29th. All clear to TTC again.

How long have you been trying: This is our first time trying since Drew passed away.
and a little about your journey here!
I was off birth control for almost a year before we got pregnant with Drew. Some of that time was preventing, some was NTNP, and some was actively TTC. I feel pretty confident it won't take us as long to get pregnant this time around since I understand my cycle better now. I just hope my body heals quickly and is ready soon for another beautiful little soul to want to land!

How long have you been trying: We've been trying for 20 months already, for 14 since we lost our little one.
and a little about your journey here!
DH and I started TTC right before we got married in May of 2009. We got pregnant a few months later, but then lost our bean at 12 weeks in September of 2009. Since then, we have been actively TTC (charting, OPKs, the works) with no luck. We started fertility treatments in September and are halfway through our third Clomid cycle. Hoping that this is our month!

DH and I got pregnant right after we got married. We lost our first baby boy on December 15th, 2008. That is the day my life changed forever. I joined here several months later. I've gone through several OB's and have been diagnosed with PCOS & Endo. After so many losses we are NTNP at the present moment and I think my body is on a hiatus lol.

How long have you been trying: We've been TTC take home baby #3 for 5 months
and a little about your journey here!
We started TTC our first baby in July 2005. I got my very first bfp on DH's birthday- 7/22. Unfortunately that baby turned out to be my first loss on 8/12/05. We were told to wait 3 months to try again, so I did and was miserable the whole time. We started ttc again in October 2005 and got pregnant with DS. He was born 7/12/06. We started trying for #2 in July 2007 and got pregnant right away. I lost that little one on 8/27/07. I decided not to wait at all and tried before my first cycle returned. We were lucky and got pregnant with DD right away. She was born 5/12/08. This time around we started ttc July 2010. We conceived on DH's birthday- 7/22. All of my betas came back great and were doubling perfectly, which had been my first indication something was wrong with my last 2 losses. I thought that maybe, just maybe I wouldn't have another loss. I went in at 6w and the baby was measuring less than 5w. They diagnosed me with a vanishing twin and subchorionic hematoma. I went in at 8w and the baby was measuring 6w with a hearbeat of 103. I knew my dates, and tried to convince myself that since the hematoma was shrinking my body was just focusing on healing the bleed and not so much the growth of the baby. I went in at 9w and the baby's heart had stopped. I had to go in at 11w (9/21/10) for a d&c, because my body was not understanding that something was wrong. I got my first af after the d&c on November 1st. I'm currently 13dpo and every test I've taken from 9dpo is negative. The latest I've ever gotten a bfp is 13dpo, so I'm almost positive I'm out this cycle. I just wish af would come.

and a little about your journey here!
Well, it took us 1 year to conceive DD born 6/10/09. No explanation as to why it took so long for her. Got Mirena 8 weeks PP and then removed August 2010 tried until Sept cycle had to put on hold for surgery. Got BFP 11/26/10 then BFN 11/28/10...chemical pg. Got the all clear to TTC this cycle if we want to. Still debating.
I just want to say that you women amaze me. You have gone through far worse than I could ever imagine and you have managed to pull through and keep going. You are all my heros! Thank you!!!

How long have you been trying: This is my second cycle after we lost Elijah
My journey here: I joined here back in 2006 when we had a miscarriage and it took us 18 months to get pregnant with Gabriella. We were finished after her but had a surprise BFP back in June. We had some issues and later found out he had a very large cystic hygroma and then a diagnosis of T21. I was so scared of T21 but now know after holding him that I can do it and that is why we are confident about ttc again.
The support is amazing and that's my main reason for being here.

How long have you been trying: About 3.5 months, after getting the go-ahead from the ob/gyn after my D&C...
and a little about your journey here! : DH and I were married in 2004, and said that were were going to wait 5 years before kids. Later, I tried to get him to start earlier, but he didn't want to... He even wanted to wait longer! We started NTNP in January 2010, and I got my BFP in July. Baby was small and had a slow heartbeat at the first ultrasound; I was 8 wks along based on LMP, but baby was measuring only 6 weeks. Heartbeat and growth had stopped by the u/s the following week. I had a D&C in early August.... I am READY to be pregnant again! I wish I would've actually researched the details of conceiving before NTNP, I really did not want to wait this long to get pregnant!
