Does anyone here have it or ever been tested for it? It's not 100% certain yet, but it's more than likely the cause for my losses.

I was tested for it but it was negative.
I was almost hoping it was postive to have an answer as to why.

I believe I was also tested for it. If I understand right though this is something that can be treated and monitored during pregnancy.

I'm still waiting to be tested, another three weeks. I totally agree, Lindsey. I'm almost hoping it comes back positive, because I know it can be treated.

I think that was part of what I was tested for and it came back positive...I can't find my labwork, but i'm pretty sure that was one thing...I got retested 12 weeks after I got a positive, and the came back negative...I too was hoping it was positive because it was something that could be treated...My doctor is still testing me for other clotting disorders right now too...GL to you!!

I have a borderline positive for it, and I'm still waiting for my retest to know if it was a real positive or a false positive.

I don't have the anti-phospholid, but I do have two other clotting disorders (MTHfR and Protien S deficiency). The treatment is blood thinners for your entire pregnancy, usually Lovenox or heparin. You will be monitored more closely during your pregnancy. I have been on weekly appt. since 24 weeks and I have weekly sonograms to check baby growth and development.

Feel to ask any questions.

Kat.

I was a member here for awhile, I still lurk to check on everyone. I tested positive for it after 3 consecutive losses in a year. I have had two healthy boys and a 3rd due in March with the help of Lovenox injections. As many have said the good thing about it is you have an answer and it is treatable. GL to you!

I am being tested for it right now. I have the lab slip and am getting the work done later today. My doc does not think I am a likely canidate for it, but wanted to test anyway because of the history of so many miscarriages.

No experience here but I'm happy to see you all being tested for it.

I suffer from frequent migraines and have a family history of blood clots, so I'm sure it has something to do with my blood. I would like to start the low-dose aspirin, but I'm not sure when?

Zkat & HappyMommy, how much did you pay for the Heparin/Lovenox? I've heard it's pricey.

I honestly wouldn't start the aspirin till you talk to your doctor...Especially if you still have blood work to get done.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I've read a ton of success stories with it.

No two-cents to offer, just wanted to say that I hope this all works out for you and you get answers/treatment/etc.

The Lovenox is pricey. I was on 80 mg per day and I paid $50 co-pay, but the insurance covered the remaining $1,820 per month (no - that is not a typo) There is now a generic for the 40 mg dosage, which is what most people are on. I have no idea on the cost. I will add that I have unbelievable insurance. My whole pregnancy, including 24 sonograms has cost us $30 co-pay. The hospital delivery will only cost $1,000.

My heparin is only a 7 day supply up until my c-section and my insurance covered the heparin, but not the needles - go figure!

Wowzers. I've read about women paying at least a thousand each month for their Lovenox. Insane! Was it prescribed to you immediately after your BFP?
