Please help. I'm **only 7DPO.** I figured it was going to come back negative, I kind of just wanted to see a BFN so I knew I could drink tonight. It's been a pretty rough couple of weeks and I really just want to get wasted. Well, my test did something funny to me...

The control line showed up nice and clear. I left the test alone for about three minutes, and when I went back, there was a DOT. There was a tiny little dot, bright and obvious, about the size of a period at the end of one of these sentences, right along the plane where the BFP line would be. Um, I've never heard of that before... I obviously can't just retest...

Instead of seeing | I saw .

Kind of toward the top. It doesn't make any sense Help? Sorry, can't post pics, but I think I did the best job I could of describing it.

A couple people in TTC said it sounds like a faulty test, and I agree. I'm not hopeful or anything from it, at least not anymore hopeful than I already am. I was mainly just confused, never gotten anything like that before. Just wanted to update

Hmmmm I have no idea. I have never had a test do that. I get the internet cheapies though. It very well could be a faulty test.

BTW....I am 8DPO today as well! I tested yesterday too but it was a BFN. I am going to test again on Tuesday I think....if I can hold out that long. I only have 1 test left. I ordered some more on ebay last night but they probably won't be here till the middle of next week.

I agree that it sounds like a faulty test. FRER is definitely not what it used to be! With all that you've been through you certainly deserve your night to get wasted!

If it was a frer, I had that happen. It was after the time limit but I took the test apart to get a better look and on the ends where the line would have been, there was pink. I had another one do the same thing but 3 tests later AF showed up. I think it's still too early. Wait a few days to test again before you get plastered
