I miscarried a baby at 8 weeks in June. I used Cytotec to miscarry - baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks. I had noticed no pregnancy symptoms at all in that pregnancy.
Ever since the miscarriage the first day or two of my period is SUPER heavy. I normally have normal/light periods. Have any of you ladies noticed this sort of change in AF?
I have begin keeping an eye on my cycle b/c we want to TTC in February. My last period was preceeded by 5 days of spotting. That was the first time I have ever had such a long time of spotting before AF. My periods have been regular all my life. This period coming is due in 5 days. I was looking for ovulation signs (mainly EWCM, since I always get that) and they never came, or I missed them this cycle. I started light brown/pink and even some red spotting 7 days ago. I wondered if it was IB at first, but now I am sure it must be AF coming. I was wondering why on earth I am spotting so long? I did some research and it seems I could have low progesterone. I am so upset to think this. I have an OB appt in January. In the meantime, do you think I may have low progesterone? Could that have been the cause of my m/c? I am worried my OB will not give me Clomid b/c they are very holistic. Are there any natural things that can help? I guess the first thing I want to worry about is getting pregnant - but if I did, do you think my OB would give me progesterone to prevent another m/c? I just cannot handle another one! Also, could having had 2 c-sections have anything to do with all this? Has anyone used Clomid? How well does it work?
Sorry for all the questions. It has been my greatest fear ever since my m/c that I cannot conceive again. It feels like my nightmare might be coming true.

Would it have been routine for them to check my progesterone level at the hospital or when I had my hgc (?) levels checked to see if I was miscarrying? As I think it seems to be with many women - I feel like there was alot of unanswered questions about my m/c. They said "blighted ovum", "no fetal pole", "sub chronic hemotoma" and "pregnancy just did not progress".....

I don't think it is routine to check progesterone levels at the hospital - with my first m/c, they only checked my hcg when I was in the er. With my second pregnancy/loss, my dr checked my progesterone only because I asked for it. As far as the blighted ovum goes, I have read that this is the cause of most m/c, and sadly it is just a chance thing.

You could definitely ask to have testing done, but I know that most dr's won't do anything until you've had at least 2 (sometimes even 3 ) m/c's. (That sucks, I know....) Good luck and I hope you can get some answers!

Yeah, thats what I read - atleast 2 miscarriages. My ob is very holistic and so I doubt they will do much now. I hate to think about going through all that again! I guess I can just keep charting and see
