Wow, my progesterone is AWFUL

Last week I went for what I thought was my first set of betas (I m/c on Friday), and my progesterone was only 2.1!!!! Hcg at the time was 56, but my prog was even below the range for a normal luteal phase (and way off from 1st trimester pregnancy).

I have a consult with a RE next week, and I'm hoping my problem is as easy as just low progesterone. Does anybody have any experience and/or success stories with progesterone therapy? And has anybody ever seen a number this low?!?!

Make sure you mention it to your RE. Are you going to the one Kary went to? They will probably put you on progesterone pills from the day after you ovulate to AF or 12 weeks. There are lots of success stories in here from girls that graduated because they took progesterone.

I'm knew to this all, but with my last pregnancy my progesterone was on the lower side. They put me on progesterone suppositories 2 x a day. With my daughter 4 years ago, I don't think I was ever checked for it, so I have no clue if it was lower then too. Next time I get pregnant though, that will be one of my first questions.

I'm doing a consult with a smaller practice than Kary went to (that my OB works with directly). I'll see how it goes, and if they can't help me/I don't get a good vibe from them, I will try Abington. I can't wait to see what they say about the prog.

I'm guessing they won't be able to do much as far as testing goes until my AF comes back (I'm thinking early Jan?) but at least I'm getting the ball rolling.
