Eggnog Cookies

3 cups flour
4 tsp baking powder
1/2 c (1 stick) butter, softened
1/2 c. granulated sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp rum extract
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg

Glaze:
2 c. confectioner's sugar
2-4 tsp milk

beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in rum extract and nutmeg. Add flour and baking powder, stir until a soft dough forms. With lightly buttered hands, separate dough and roll into balls. Place dough onto lightly greased baking sheets. Bake at 375* until firm (about 10-12 minutes). Cool completely. In a small bowl combine confectioner's sugar and enough milk to make thin icing. Dip top half of each cookie into the icing. Before icing sets, sprinkle tops with sprinkles or a pinch of sugar/spice mixture (2tbsp granulated sugar and 3/4 tsp nutmeg)
