Alright, so this idea, is crazy, out there, and probably won't go over like I'm hoping....but I still think it's kind of cute.

When I was a kid giga pets, or tamagotchi's were all the rage. I had a few of em, and they were so much fun! DH mentioned, having one too when he was younger, and how he missed em. (Granted, he did say it after three margaritas LOL) But it gave me an idea.

I remember some of the ones I had you could connect with another person who had one, and you could mate, and breed. So I decided this year for Christmas i'm going to get one for DH, and one for me. Since we can't have pets here, its kind of the next best thing, and it will also help DH on getting ready for a baby. (I know it's on a much smaller scale, BUT still......) I think we could have a lot of fun with this. Each taking care of ours, letting them make babies, etc. Something to take care of until we do get pg.

Also something to help take our minds off of ttc.

What do you girls think? Have I completely lost my mind with this idea?

Some of us should get them and see if we can link them and we can all make babies together..lol

I assume they are still around somewhere...right? Or are you getting them off ebay?

They have new ones that you can buy (sold at wal mart or target, or Toys R Us but i'm not sure if they are actually sold in the stores or not) that are around 9-20 dollars. But they have older ones on ebay that I think I want, that are called Family Tamagotchi's, which--instead of just raising the one pet, you raise a whole family) for around the same price. So I think i'm either going to go through ebay, or amazon. Unless I can find some in the stores here, because I'd rather not pay shipping if I can get them here.

The sad thing is, though is that I looked up the ones I used to own when I was younger and they are selling for 200-400 used on ebay! Out of the packages and everything! I really wished I would have kept them!

Lindsey- It was pretty much Dh's idea! (to go and buy them anyway, the rest was all me!) He's truly a kid himself deep down lol.

That sounds like fun. It reminds me of a game called creatures I used to play. Even my dh got into it for a bit.
