Thanks for all the answers. I feel more comfortable asking you ladies than I do anyone else.

I don't mind at all. Actually it's good you ask.
I thought everything was fine. I bled a little longer than I was supposed to after my D&C but at my follow up with my family doc he said it was ok as long as I didn't have a fever and didn't have a funky smell/discharge. I asked him if he's gonna do an exam on me and he said no, because of the lack of symptoms. So I went on my merry way thinking all was fine. My HCG was decreasing - a little slowly but going steadily down.
How I found out is I started seeing an RE who started testing me to see what was causing my multiple miscarriages (this was my second). One of the tests was a sonohysterogram, where they inject saline into your uterus and do a u/s. I had to go between CD6-10 so I waited until my first post D&C AF and went on the CD6. That's when the RE saw that the D&C was incomplete. There was tissue/a clot one inch across still in my uterus!
If I didn't have this u/s who knows how long it would have been in there (still there now actually since the misoprostol hasn't totally gotten rid of it) and it could cause infection, infertility, even death in some extreme cases if left it there. If you have the option I would demand an ultrasound. If God forbid this ever happens to me again, I will LIE to get a follow up u/s.. say I have pain or something.
I hope I didn't scare you - most of the time they do the D&C just fine. It's just my crappy luck that has this happening to me. Since then, in case you're curious, I've taken 3 doses of cytotec and still haven't passed everything so I will probably need another D&C.
