My appointment was great, I absolutely love my new doctor, very kind and compassionate. So encouraging! She strictly advised me to wait 4-6 months to TTC again and prescribed the pill. Not liking it! She can't test me for Antiphospholipid antibodies until I've had three losses in a row. She did have me tested for Diabetes though. It doesn't run in either side of my family.

I'm sorry that she suggested you to wait so long... refresh my memory, did you have a D&C this loss?

If anything if you miscarried naturally then I'd wait at least one cycle, ask her if there is any medical reason to wait and if not tell her that you want to start trying right away since there is no real reason for waiting. Doctors tend to just say that to women for the emotional aspect and as well as "their norm" to just say to every woman in general without

I used Cytotec with this loss and AF came yesterday. She didn't give me any real reason why I should wait so long.

Ask if there is a physical, medical reason why.... otherwise I would ttc right away instead of waiting.

I know, I should have asked. I'm sure it's for the emotional aspect, because everything was complication-free and my body is obviously back to normal. The other doctor in the office I was seeing before her told me to wait two months. I think that's more than sufficient. We were planning on TTC again as soon as February comes.

I agree, my Dr told me to wait until after my first AF showed, but after that the only reason to wait if for emotion healing, not for any physical reason. My second son was concieved the month after my 1st m/c, and hes 13 now. (and perfect)!

Ditto to what Celena said. One of my friends who did Cytotec earlier this year got pregnant (sort of by accident) before her first AF and the pregnancy is going well. If you are emotionally ready, there's no scientific evidence showing you should wait.

My doctor has told me unless my body was ready it wouldn't get pregnant. So unless there is a medical reason why I would start trying right away if you feel ready.

I think I'll be emotionally ready when the holidays are over. We are definitely not waiting six months. DF wants to start right now, but January is going to be an emotionally tough month for me...I doubt I'll be up to it. We're going for it again in February for sure.

I just don't want to make my doctor angry. LOL!
