I am trying to think how to plot out the BDing this month... what do most of you do?
The past 2 months I have gotten my positive opk and then that night plus the next 3 or 4 we BD. Well that has not worked so I am looking for new Idea's.
I feel like I must be doing something wrong because my daughter I got pregnant the first month trying and my 2 miscarriages were both opp's. I honestly thought I would get pregnant in the first month or 2. Those of you who do this for months and months and even years are my Hero's.
If I do not get my BFP this month I have to think about taking a break for 6 months because of timing. I do not want another baby born in the winter... that SUCKED with everyone always being sick and taking her to the well visits and other people kids cauging on my 2 week old baby. Plus my daughters Birthday is December so I would like to try and avoid going bank rupt every winter from Birthdays and Christmas.
I started BBT this month too.

I ended up with the nasty cold as well.
Last month I started 2-3 days before o and 1 day after.
I was kinda thinking of doing every other day from cd 10 till I get my positive opk then do 3 days in a row then go back to every other day until like day 22 just to be sure.
This baby makin thing is to much work...lol

I am still waiting for my body to reset.
Previously, we only did it every other day during that time. Should be every day I guess.

My plan is similar to this one. Starting on CD 10 (tomorrow!) I want to BD every other day. I use the ClearBlue Easy Fertility Monitor, so when my reading goes to high, I'll probably wait until the second day of a high reading, maybe third, then BD every day for hopefully 4 or 5 days straight. Fingers crossed that by then I'll get my temp spike. I'm also using IC OPKs in conjunction with the CBEFM just for fun. Then every other day for about four days after that, or at least until I'm absolutely positive I've O'd.
I'm taking FertilAid, this is my second month using it. I took 80mg of Soy Isoflavones CD4-8, and I'm also charting my temps and CM (picked it back up today). I MAY use Robitussin to help with my CM when I start getting high readings on the monitor (readings go low, high, peak). I also use Pre-Seed and Pre' lubricants.
DH and I are going to give it all we've got, but honestly this just doesn't feel like it's going to be our month. I was completely stressed the first week of my cycle, and I've been sick for nine days straight now, likely due to the stress, in addition to having a really messed up sleep pattern. I feel like my body isn't going to cooperate with ovulation and/or implantation... But I have to try! If I don't get a BFP, then I'll up the Soy to 120mg next time around, and either keep CD4-8 or do CD3-7.

I was tempted to get some soy but then I read on a web site that it makes your cycles even longer and I have hard enought time with watiing as it is.
I have been sick with a nasty head cold all last week and its starting to finally go away.... I hope it doesnt mess me up this cycle.
I am also having a NASTY A/F never had one this bad... reminds me of my miscarriage.
I am on day 3 and typically they are gearing down by this day but its still has bad as day 1. I hope maybe It is just cleansing cycle or something and I needed to flush out real good or somthing.

I don't know what to tell you- I have probably tried every BD strategy under the sun with no luck. Now I'm going for the 'less is more' approach, saving up the swimmers for a couple days before O (I will admit, this may be in part because I am getting sick of all the BDing on a schedule ). I hope your plan works!

Lindsey,
For the past almost 3 years...
April 2008 - June 2009 we just tried to have sex frequently thru the month, I had a pretty good understanding of my body & signs of O time. I had gotten pg for the first time in June, found out early July and had lost our LO July 30th, 2009. Got pg before af, but long story... lost our second LO Aug 21st'09.
Sept 2009 - December 2009 started temping/charting and doing opk's... got pg on Christmas, found out end of Jan we might have an ectopic. Lost our little Miracle Feb 7th, 2010.
Feb 2010 - present temping/charting, opk's, used my CBEFM for most of the year, have been doing soy for 5? 6? cycles and the last 2 with dhea.
That's the jist of it...
As far as BD'ing I always try to at least several days before O up until after O everyday or every other day, but at the same time I don't like to *force* it... if either of us aren't in the mood, so be it, we can get busy that night or the next am to cover bases. Even tho I know I've O'd we still BD allot *jic* because even tho the opk's have gone from blaring positive to starting to lighten up you can O up to 72 hours after the initial LH surge. So we try to be better about covering our bases.

This past month we started bd'ing before O. We also used preseed. Not sure if the preseed helped or it was just our time, but I think bd'ing before O certainly helped.
