Okay i'm getting desperate, but i'm not sure what i'm going to do.

I'm toying with taking soy, but I keep going back and forth on if I should take it...I picked some up at walmart a few days ago.

Will soy mess up your cycle? I think that's my biggest concern...My cycle seems to be messed up anyway, i'm just scared i'm going to mess it up more...Also, i'm not sure how much I should take....I was thinking 80mg, but i'm worried that wont do anything...I'm also thinking of doing it CD 3-7...For those of you who took it, what was your experiance on it? and also if you got pregnant taking soy i'd like to hear about it too...Does soy usually bring ovulation sooner, or later?

Megan! I missed you

I took 80 mg CD3-7 one cycle and 160 mg CD 3-7 another cycle. It didn't really change my O time, but messed up my fertility signs and I found it frustrating enough to stop. It just didn't agree with me. BUT so many ladies like it. I know that most have had better success taking it on CD5-9, and it seems like it might move O up a couple days if you do it that way. Did your doctor recommend Clomid? Or just supplementing the progesterone? With your last couple cycles, I'd almost be tempted to do a cycle with nothing extra except the baby aspirin and progesterone after O and see how that works.

Hi Megan,
I would go up to 120mg cd 3-7. From my experience, soy did not mess with my cycle at all. I o'ed on time and I did not have the side effects that I did taking clomid. Celena is pregnant now from Soy and there are a bunch of success stories in here.

It is a personal choice weather to take it or not. If you are afraid then I would say don't do it. TTC is stressful enough.

I think she's going to try progesterone for now...I asked the nurse what the next step was if it doesn't work, but she didn't know...I assume that since she put 2 refills on the progesterone that she wants me to try it for 3 cycles?

I was thinking of just doing nothing this cycle too...My concern is that I ovulated late last month, and I honestly think something was wrong...AF was way late, it just started today...So I had a 31 day cycle and that's not normal for me at all...I still have a couple of days to think about it...I do know that when she brought up clomid that she said CD 5-9.

Good luck with whatever you decide, Megan. I know how hard it can be to make these decisions I am really hopeful that the progesterone is going to be just what you need to get your BFP this cycle

Megan, I took 120 mg cd 3-7 in November and as you know we got pregnant although we did end up m/c. We were told that we wouldn't be able to get pregnant on our own and we did. We were told that our best chances of gettting pregnant was another IUI.

I took 80 mg of soy for two cycles on CD 2 - 6 and got BFPs both cycles, but I also miscarried both. Not sure if the soy had anything to do with that since I've never gotten a BFP WITHOUT soy, but it is definitely something I am going to talk to my dr about once we can TTC again. We tried au natural for 5 cycles, all BFNs until I added soy, and with my age and everything, I'm worried that the soy caused my body to O a poor quality egg. Twice. Who knows though!

Taking soy moved my O date up 5 or 6 days - I usually O around CD 17 or 18, and on my soy cycles I O'ed on CD 12 -13. I also noticed stronger O pain on my soy cycles.

GL with whatever you decide!

Megan I took Soy for 2 cycles. I originally was on Clomid and they say to double the dosage so my first month I took 200mg of Soy CD 5-9 I believe... My second month I took 280mg CD 4-8 and got my BFP that cycle. Soy didnt really mess with my cycles any. I had been O'ing between CD 14-17 and stayed on track with that. I hope it works for you!!!

I took soy too days 3-7. I took 100mg but I've heard a lot of ladies start out on a higher dose. I usually O anywhere from day 17-20 and the soy seemed to move my O date up, but now with an u/s I wonder if it really did. I didn't notice anything different except my O symptoms were harder to pin point. I hope this is your cycle.

I'm Oing earlier than normal this cycle with 80mg Soy CD 4-8. Of course I don't know if it's the soy, the FertilAid, or having had Drew and having a full system reboot... No complaints here though, and I'll continue to try again with it next cycle if we don't get our BFP this time around. Toying with maybe using 120mg next time, not sure...

Megan,

I took CD5-9 every cycle but 1 where I took it from 3-7 ironically that cycle I O'd way late and had a longer cycle than normal... weird eh? I think we talked about this before, but considering your normal cycle maybe 5-9 would be the way to go for you too.

I started off at 80mg for 1 or 2 cycles (can't remember) then moved up to 160mg which is what I took this cycle on days 5-9 again. I had a REALLY REALLY good ovulation this month 2 days of strong O pains. Made me wonder if I popped out 2 eggs?

Thanks Celena...Maybe i'll do soy 5-9 since that's what my doctor said she would do clomid on...I just don't want to do anything to mess up my cycle.
