I've always sung the praises of this monitor, and I credit it with helping us to get pregnant the 5 times I've been blessed to be so, regardless of the outcome. However, I have a feeling that it's having issues since my last loss in September. Last month was our first cycle trying since that loss. It's not uncommon for me to O between cd16-18 so I wasn't surprised that I didn't get a peak reading before then. What did surprise me was that it went from 1 bar on cd17 to 3 on cd18 with no 2 bars in between. That's odd for me. I have a sneaky suspicion that I O'ed before cd18 last cycle and the monitor was wrong, but we couldn't dtd sooner because of DH's surprise performance issues last month. This month I'm on cd18 and still at 1 bar. I don't know what is up with this thing. I know that many of you use the monitor and opks just to be sure, and that's what I'm going to do next cycle if this one is a bust. Have any of you gotten a positive opk before and the monitor was still saying you hadn't O'ed? Any ideas?

i'm having the same issues with my monitor...when I first used it in June, I got normal high, peak readings and got pregnant...Now i'm just going from low to peak...It makes me wonder if something is wrong with me?
as far as the OPK's go, mine always seem to go along with my monitor...I got positive OPK's later in the day I got a low reading on my monitor, but the next morning I got a peak on my monitor.

I've been having issues with my monitor lately. Last month it went from low to peak with no high fertility days. Then this month it didn't give me a peak, but I got a pos $store opk, so we dtd that day and ended up pg this cycle. Next time we try I'm going to use a combo of the monitor and opk's. I don't trust the monitor as much as I used to.

I was thinking about buying one but maybe I will just use OPK's and temping for now.
They are to expensive if they are not working so great for you all.

I do like my monitor...I got pregnant the first cycle using it, and that cycle my OPK's never got fully positive.

I've loved my monitor from the day I got it. I got pregnant on the first try all 5 times I've been pregnant (I hate saying that here with all the ladies who've struggled for so long) and I credit the monitor with that. I just don't understand what's going on with it now. I'm starting to wonder if it's something wrong with me. But, I've heard a lot of people say things about it not picking up their O and what not, so maybe my luck with it is running out. I wonder if it's a problem with the manufacturing of the test sticks. Kind of like FRER used to be awesome and now they're not. Maybe CBE is doing something different with the monitor sticks. I don't know.

Did you do a hard reset on the monitor after your loss? You have to do that after you've either given birth or had a loss. It then takes a few cycles to learn your hormone patterns again.
I've always gone from low to peak on my monitor - sometimes your estrogen surge is too quick for the monitor to pick up. HTH!

I had a couple of months where it went straight from low to peak. There is a CBEFM group on babycenter.com that is pretty good.
Clearblue Fertility Monitor Users - BabyCenter
At the top if you click "read message" under where it says in red "Message from the Group Owner" there is a good Q&A which answers a lot of questions.
Here is #3
I haven't gotten any highs. I just went low to peak, is that normal? Yes. It can happen that way. Hopefully, the monitor will get to know you and start to give you highs, but it may not depending on how estrogen is processed in your body and how quickly your LH surge happens. The estrogen level can change as well, so it doesn't only happen the first 3 months with the monitor. Depending on what you eat, and other environmental factors, estrogen can vary from one cycle to another. If the estrogen increase happens the same time an LH surge is detected, you will go low to peak.

I used my monitor for over 7 cycles and at first it seemed to work properly. Then it started doing the same thing, it started going straight to peak and peak day was the day I ovulated. (Confirmed by u/s) Truthfully, if I were to do it over again, Id skip the cost of the monitor and the test sticks and just stay with opk's. They are more reliable, in my opinion. Good luck!

I'm using my monitor, but this is the first time I've used it since we started back up with trying. I remember I wasn't the best at using it the first time around, so I can't really say how I feel about it yet... I'm on CD 13 and am on my 4th High reading (10-13) so it's definitely giving me plenty of advance warning! I just hope I'm not too tired to BD once I actually get peaks! lol. My OPKs have all been negative so far (haven't taken one yet today though), so I'm sure I could take a break if I wanted to, but we're trying to DTD every day through High and Peak (as per DH's recommendation ), and the day after, so I guess we'll just keep on goin'
