Im new here and have only posted once before. I am finally going in tomorrow for my HSG procedure. I saw a fertility doctor a few weeks ago. I have had nothing but bad luck this year trying to get pregnant. I was pregnant in March, ended in miscarriage. Then I got pregnant in July and it was an ectopic that ruptured. I ended up in emergency surgery and had to have my tube removed. Since then I havent gotten pregnant. my fertility doctor suggested having an HSG done. He thinks that my right tube (the only one i have now) might be damaged and that is why i havent conceived. Ive had ovarian cysts that ruptured in the past on my right side, so he thinks that may have damaged that tube. so i finally made my appointment and its tomorrow afternoon. tomorrow is my cycle day 10. Im so excited to be going in and finally finding out if there is something wrong with that tube or not. even though im so excited, im also so nervous. I dont deal well with pain and so im scared its gonna hurt and be uncomfortable. either way i want to have it done, just to finally have an answer. ill post what happens when i get home tomorrow afternoon if anyone wants to know how it went. Good luck to all of you ttc!
hope your appointment goes well today hun and you get some answers. plz kup

thanks for the well wishes ladies! i had my appointment this afternoon. it hurt alot more than what i was prepared for. there was an extreme amount of cramping and it was very painful. the doctor said that a very very small amount of fluid passed through my right tube and not enough really came out. He believes that the tube is mostly blocked. that was not the news i was hoping to hear. basically by continuing to try to get pregnant, i am at a greater risk for another tubal pregnancy because there isnt much room for the egg to leave the tube. i dont want to stop trying though. this is so hard. my only real option at this point is ivf i guess. we dont really have the money for that and probably wont anytime soon either. im just devastated and have been through so much this year. now because i dont have 8,000 dollars, i may never have the baby we want so much. i know im not the only person in this position, and my heart goes out to those of you have have been in my position. thats my update. best of luck to all of you
omg, i'm so sorry that you got this news. I know it's hard to think about now, but there are foundations out there that will help couples pay for ivf. When you are ready, look into it.
thank you so much! i am so ready to look into it. ive been looking online for help here in florida, but im not coming up with a whole lot. any ideas for me as to where to start?
I am so sorry for your news, but at least you know so you can become proactive instead of just doing the same thing with no luck. Good luck in finding the help you need, sorry I don't know where to look for help.
well i made another appointment with my fertility doctor. I go in on monday dec 28th in the morning. we are going to go over my options for ivf and see what kind of payment plan we can work out. hoping this will be easy enough to take care of and get on with it!
There is also care credit. It is a credit card just for medical expenses. That is how DH and I pay for my RE visits. There are lots of options out there, good luck!
