Right after my D&C I got what I thought was a bacteria infection and since I have had them before I just asked my DR to call in the script to save me co pay.
The very next month around the same time of the month I got another one.. so I thought maybe it was not a bacteria infection and treated it with yeast infection stuff... that seemed to work for about 2 weeks.
Now I feel like I am just RAW down there.
So now I am wondering what else could it be if its not a yeast infection or bacteria infection? I also wonder if this is whats keeping me from getting pregnant.
Anyone else have any thing like this after there D&E?
UPDATE:....My family DR got me in today since my OB is out until after the first of the year. She gave me Fluconazole tablet to take one today and another in 5 days. The I also got Clindamycin to use vaginaly for 7 days.... I just hope it does not kill sperm because I should be ovulating in a couple days.
I just hope this double dose and extra meds clear this up for good.

I was given antibiotics at the hospital (IV) and for 10 days after my D&C. Dr's normal protocol to prevent infections.
I'd really have it checked out, make sure you don't have an abrasion or something.

I would call and make an appt. Just to make sure you are on the right antibotic.. Just to make sure it is not something new going on. Have you ever been tested for Mycoplasma, Ureaplasma these two can cause problems with fertility and miscarriages.. Why your Dr is checking things out.. maybe they can culture.

I would make an appt too. After my last baby, I went 3 weeks with no problems then suddenly got an infection and get really sick. When I went in, they thought it was just a normal bacteria infection and were going to treat it with normal antibiotics but they did a culture just in case. Turns out, I had a Strep A infection which is deadly and ended up in the hospital on IV meds for a week. It's always better to make sure the right thing is being treated. Good Luck

Thanks I am going to make an appointment anyway because its so raw I am getting a little pink on the TP when I wipe.
I just hope they can clear it up and this does not make me have to wait it out and miss this month of TTC.
I just wanted to be armed with info because you know they never test you for anything unless you ask and most people have no clue what to ask for.
After my D&C I was not given antibiotics and I asked and was told they are not needed. I even had a follow up with the DR and he never even examed me just talked.
It is just weird to have this same thing happen 3 times since October.

I am happy that you are making a appointment. After my d&c in August I ended up with a bad infection and ended up in the hospital for two days on pain meds and iv antibiotics. Please keep us posted and I hope you start feeling better soon.

I was given antibiotics for three days pot D&C by the 4th day I couldnt walk because I had such a bad (uterine) infection. They wanted to admit me but agreed to treat me at home. I was on two antibiotics and shots of anti infamatory drugs. Go get checked out.

I called my OB/Midwives office but the DR's are out until after the holidays... UGH The Midwives are in BUT my insurance considers them speacilists so my co pay is $50.00. I called my family DR since she did my Pap last spring and they will see me. So I hope she can figure out what is going on and not tell me to see my OB.
I just do not think this can wait 2 weeks.
I hope its just a really bad yeast infection because I have gotten them so bad before that over the counter stuff does not work.
My Appt is tomorrow when I get back in town so I will update on if its something to worry about or not.

honey did you tell your GP that you're TTC and only days away from ovulation?
I think you'll be fine, but when in doubt ask the pharmacist about the meds for your internal organs. They're skilled to know these things or will look it up in their formulary

Yes I told her that... and she scolded me for TTC so soon after my miscarriage.. UGH
My OB gave me the all clear 2 cycles ago.
If I can even get pregnant with all this medication I have to insert I think it will be out of my system before implantation happens so I am not worried about it doing anything to a possible baby just wondered if it would keep me from getting pregnant.
My plan is to DTD in the middle of the day since DH is off work for a couple days in hopes that gives the swimmers time to get in there place before I have to put more medicine in at bed time.
I should be Oing Tuesday so I was going to BD today, Sunday, Monday, Tue, & Thur just in case.
