I go today for a HCG test to make sure my levels are doing down still. Last Monday my levels were 156. On Friday my levels were down to 31. Hopefully the test today shows they are still going down.
I don't know if you guys remembered but I was in the ER on December 10th. (that was when things were starting to go bad with this pregnancy). The Er Doctor and my OB both said my Thyroid levels were really low. I talked to my regular doctor and my Endocrinologist. Both said my thyroid levels were fine and not to change my dosage. I called to talk to my Endocroinologist and he is off this week do to Christmas. I ended up talking to another Endocroinoloist about my levels.
On December 13th my levels were the following:
Free T4 2.22 ng/dl (normal 0.70-1.48) - I am high
Free T3 3.03 pg/ml (normal 1.71-3.71)
TSH 0.03 UIU/ml (normal 0.35-4.94) - I am real low
The doctor said my Thyroid Hormone level (T4) is to high. When that hormone is high, it makes the pitutary hormone, Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH), become low-That is the test that's low.
This doctor is calling in a new prescription at 175 mcg instead of 200 mcg. He also said if we get pregnant again to come in right away for a thyroid level check.
I am so happy I finally had a doctor listen to me and agree with the ER doctor and the OB doctor.
Hopefully after af deceide to return for one cycle we can try again.
Question for you ladies. How long does it take for AF to show up after a natural m/c?

Glad you finally found a good dr. I can't remember exactly how long it took for AF to return, but I'm thinking it was just a few weeks. Good luck!

Hope the new dose gets your thyroid in check! Mine was way off too- the T4 and T3 was really high pushing TSH down to nothing- finally got it back to a perfect spot!
After a natural m/c it take anywhere from 4-8 weeks for AF to come back. Hope your comes back soon!

What an ordeal. I'm so sorry for your loss. I had a chemical pregnancy so AF showed just after I had the m/c. It just lasted a few days longer than normal.

Good luck today with your appointment!

I hope the new dose will get your thyroid straightened out.
For me (loss 8wks) I had my first af 34 days after. Hopefully, it won't be too long and you can begin to ttc again.

For me, it came right on time. I basically bled for a day for each week I was pregnant and then 28 days later, i was back to AF again. I hope that it's a quick process for you.

I'm glad that they are getting your thyroid in check...I'm on 175mg too...I can't remember what my doctor told me, she said one was high and one was low and she was going to email my thyroid doctor to find out why he had my thyroid doing that (his office had said that my thyroid was fine)...I never heard back, so I assume it was fine.
As for the period...I had my natual miscarriage on August 3rd at 9 weeks exactly and my first AF came September 27th, which was a long time...It was that way for both my miscarriages, almost 2 months...I hope it doesn't take you that long to get AF back...Good luck!!!

My AF returned after 32 days with my first natural m/c.
My second m/c was 3 weeks ago, and it looks like I will be O'ing over the weekend, so I am expecting AF within the next 2 weeks. My doctor said 5 to 7 weeks after the m/c is the norm.
Do you temp or do OPKs? I do, and it helped me relax and know when to expect things.

Glad they got your thyroid medication adjusted! You must have been jittery with you free T4 that high.
My AF returned 38 days after the first day of bleeding with my natural miscarriage. I was charting, and it showed that I ovulated a little later than usual on CD24. Then the next cycle I went back to ovulating on CD17.
Good luck!

Hi Stacey - I got my thyroid tests back. I told you I'd post them so here they are
TSH 1.067
T3 80
T4 11.8
T3 uptake 34.19
Free thyroxine 1.23
I am on the hyper side and he is happy with these numbers. Wants to keep my on the hyper side so the baby can use some of my hormones. I am going to stay on my 137 mcg and get retested third week of January.
