ok i have been testing almost daily since my m/c. for the last week and a half or so i have had nothing but evaps. well yesterday morning i took a frer and got a bfn. being a poas freak i decided to take one that night after a 3-4hr hold. and i got a noticeable faint pink line, the line came up between three and five minutes.
there was a good twelve hours between the test. would that be enough time to make a difference? i always thought that fmu would get the best results. could it be some crazy pink evap? have you ever gotten an evap with color on a frer?
i will post pics later as the net connection i am using wont let me upload to my photobucket for some reason (it is a business account so that maybe why).
p.s. i test everday so that i have a log of all my neg test that way if i do end up pg right away i can show that it isnt residual hormones. i also mostly use dollar tree but got a good deal on frer so used those yesterday.

How long ago was your M/C because HCG can linger for a long time and make HPT's positive.

Was the FRER in a pink wrapper? I heard those are the new ones and some have gotten false positive results using them.

The pink labeled FRERs are terrible anymore. I've heard lots of stories lately of ladies over in AIP getting pink evaps on them.

Buy the Answer brand HPT. Same manufacturer as FRER, they work just as well and cost less. A win, win!
I am sorry you got such a nasty test.

thanks. i'll pick up a few when i go to the store tonight and test with one in the am. i'v used frer with all of my pregnancies and ttc adventures and never ever had a pink evap with them, sad that the tests have gone so down hill.

I used 3 of the FRER last month and all of them were stark white.... So I hope this is a BFP for you.

with Missy, Answer's are better than the new FRER's. My Answer results were better and more definitive than the new FRER, I don't know why I wasted so much money on them... oh ya the poasaholic.
I don't know if you can get a pink evap, I think it's possible with any test really but I've also been told a positive is a positive. So, I'd go to your doctor and talk to them.

I agree with Missy too...grab some answer tests....and just as a side note...I always get better results with my afternoon urine...so if there is still hcg in your system from your miscarriage than it might just be showing up, but I will ditto in saying I hope you get your positive!

I just got a pale pink evap on a FRER this morning. And I knew it was an evap because the line where the dye should be showed up immediately (like white) and then the control turned darker pink and the test line showed up this really, really muted color. But I knew it was not a positive, just by how the test behaved (and I am pretty sure I am not preg this month). I think I will switch brands if everyone is having issues with FRER. I have a bunch, but will likely buy some IC's and use those unless I get an obvious line. I hate these stupid tests.
Oh, and my tests stayed positive for about 3 weeks after the D & C...doc said the only way they can tell the levels between falling D & C levels and a new pregnancy are if they are rising (aka blood, since urine are all different with the dye). Which when I got my positive at around 5 weeks after, he ran blood to see if they were just residual levels. Which they were not, but started falling again (chemical preg). So even if you were pregnant, you would have to test more and possibly even get your betas done.
