I was sick as a dog, and we had to cancel with family who were supposed to come to our house for Christmas dinner, but we had a wonderful day. It was just me, DH, and the kids. They were soooo excited and said thank you for every gift they got. It was nice to lay on the couch and rest and watch them play with their gifts all day. I think there was definitely a silver lining that came with having to cancel with our family- no drama! I Oed on Christmas, and despite feeling like crap, DH and I were able to sneak in some action.

We had a fantastic day with the kids and extended family. Then came home and had a webcam chat with gram in the states. We really didn't want it to end. Gabriella was so tired we put her to bed at 6:30 and she was out for the night.

Loved it. Don't really have many pics because I was so busy.

We went to visit DH's family out of town for a few days, then came back home late on Christmas Eve. I cooked all day on Christmas, and my family came to our house yesterday afternoon and left earlier today. It was a busy holiday, that's for sure!

Awe mine was good overall...

Spent the day with the family, everyone loved their gifts and they played like crazy. DH got some non-bacon neck under tshirts, thermals, orthodic shoe inserts and some "man" scaping accesories LOL

I got Despeciable Me bluray with dvd, digital & bluray copies with a little blowup minion & a hat/scarf set (I asked for one to match my coat lol)

then I cooked ham, homemade baked beans, mashers, gravy, stuffin muffins, green beans... meant to cook pumpkin pie just too dang tired lol

DH n I are going to celebrate Christmas in Jan or so when we have more money...

Oh ya my SIL, niece and her fiancee came over and spent time for a few hours. My neice hadn't been over in so long, but it was nice how clingy she had become with me. Such a sweetie

We travelled to St. Louis to see my family this year.

What did you enjoy most about the day?

Watching my baby girl (well, not so baby anymore) open gifts. She was so in to it this year!

We had a great day. DH totally surprised me with a gift. He got me a NOOK!

I had a great Christmas with my family at home and then we drove up to my parents and had a great time there . . . we even went to the in-laws the next day and I didn't leave pissed or upset at all. My dh surprised me with the gifts he got me . . . usually he's more of a last minute kinda guy and this year he put alot of thought into them. I was shocked! I was worried about getting the boys the right things, but they seemed to enjoy everything . . . and even my dog was well behaved for Christmas! Reality sets in tomorrow when dh goes back to work, but for now I'm on cloud 9!
