As most of you are aware we m/c on December 10th. My HCG levels didn't rise above 285. I had my levels checked on December 22nd and they are back down to 0 already. I actually have couple of questions for you. Since we never did hear the heartbeat and my HCG levels didn't rise was this pregnancy a chemical pregnancy?

The other question is if this was a chemical pregnancy do you think AF will show up faster then a regular m/c? The reason why I am asking today sitting at work all of sudden I felt very wet. I went to the bathroom thinking that maybe af showed up since I usually get af the beginning of the month anyway. When I went to the bathroom I had so much EWCM. Is it possible to O before you get af after a loss? Is it possilbe to be O this soon after a loss. I am sorry to be asking so many questions. None of my doctors said anything to me about this being a m/c or chemical pregnancy.

I think it would be considered more a blighted ovum than a chemical pregnancy. Chemical pregnancies are usually when you get a positive, then a few days later you get a negative or AF. It is definitely possible to O before AF returns. We conceived DD after my second m/c before AF returned. Good luck!

I'm very sorry for your loss.
How far along were you? Your ticker gets cut off at the bottom so I can't see. A chemical pregnancy is when the embryo is lost very very early.. You get a positive but then a few days later it's negative and you get AF. Unless you had a u/s it's impossible to tell whether it was a blighted ovum.. that happens when there's a gestational sac but it's empty and doesn't have an embryo..

Yes it is possible to O so soon after a m/c.
With my first loss, at 6 weeks, I Od that same next cycle around CD23. Even with this loss (D&C at 11 weeks), my chart shows that I Od before AF showed up.
So it's very possible you're gearing up to O!

Thank you ladies, I had internal u/s on December 10th because I was starting to cramp and spot. They didn't see anything on the u/s. The ER Doctor said it was to early. I think I was about 5 weeks. Not sure though. I am so confused if it was a chemical pregnancy or Blighted Ovum. I know I took a lot of test at home and all of them came back pregnant until the last one I took on Sunday and it was negative. Which would make sense since my HCG is back to 0 already.

It is totally possible to get O before you A/F. I did after my D&C. I started using OPK's just to see when A/F might be visiting and got a positive OPK at 4 weeks after and then A/F came 2 weeks later.

My dr told me that when your number reach 1500 or more at that point you can see something on the ultra sound. I know this because he said as soon as I get my BFP to start having blood drawn and at 1500 he wants an ultra sound to make sure there is a sac and fetal pole... then he wants another one a couple weeks later to make sure it is growing as it should and has a heart beat.

If you feel you are ready and no medical reasons not to TTC right now I would DTD tonight and see what happens

I had my m/c just before you, and it's definitely possible to O. I O'ed last Friday - I know for sure bc I temp and do OPKs, and I also had tons and tons of EWCM this time around. Last time I had a m/c, I O'ed shortly afterwards too, but my luteal phase was a lot shorter than normal and my AF showed up about 10 days after my O.

As far as chemical pregnancy goes, I would say no. My hcg was only ~59 two days before my m/c, and they didn't call mine a chemical, it was a blighted ovum. HTH!!

Thank you Kristen. I remember you when you had your m/c. This has all been so hard on us. I am happy that I am off for the next 4 days. Dh likes to fun more in the morning the at night so maybe if we dtd in the morning we still have a chance. With my work schedule its hard for us to dtd sometimes. I get up Monday through Friday at 3:30 am.
