So I started spotting again a little this am when I wiped... called the dr's office and the RN talked to the DR he rx'd progesterone injections. I'm supposed to go pick it up from the pharmacy this afternoon and get my first one tomorrow. Praying this helps stop the spotting and everything happy for baby's new home for the next 8 months.
We've been trying for nearly 3 years and I'm so praying / hoping this is our little fighter!!!
Anyone have experience with progesterone injectables?
***Update***
Had my appointment today at 11:30, first things first she gave me the shot and it wasn't so bad. Tetnus shots are worse I think personally.... but you have to keep massaging it because it's so thick and will cause a knot. But so far so good. I'm flipping twice as exhausted if it's possible for it to start kicking in that quick???
My nurse was awesome, she's newer... she's expierenced loss so she made me feel really comfortable.
After the shot, had a bunch of bloodowork and that is pretty much it. It's all the prenatal testing like CBC, metabolica panel, vitamin D, iron levels for anemia, CF, etc...
Well I'm going to try to get in an hour nap before I have to go to work, man tonight is going to suck LOL... have to work night for the next 4 nights at work. Tomorrow is going to be a LONG one 12-12.

I don't, I just wanted to say that I really freakin' hope this is it for you. You deserve a little one so much, I can tell just from getting to know you recently that you would care for your baby with a love unrivaled. Praying, crossing all my crossables.

I haven't dont the injections, but i know someone who did. She said they are thick so it was slightly more painful than a regular shot. She said is was tolerable though. Good luck, i'll be thinking of you.
Are you going for another beta?

I have done injection shots of Progesterone several times. It is very thick. I would recommend icing the spot prior to injecting and then have a heating pad ready to go for afterwards. The first time is not too bad but you get pretty sore day after day. Good luck!

DH is a HUGE Rocky fan... that's an idea!
Julie, I loathe shots but am not phobic like I used to be of needles. Here I'm a pin cushion with tattoos n piercings LOL. If you have any suggestions throw them my way, thanks momma!
Tobi, I didn't ask but I'm not sure they even ran that? I know the RE would want them to, but no clue... I'll ask tomorrow.
thanks for the pointers on the ice and heating pad, sounds perfect!

I don't have any experience with shots, but I have a friend who has used them in each of her pregnancies, and they have helped her have 6 beautiful, healthy kiddos. They're not fun, but I know you'll do anything you can to keep this amazing little blessing healthy, so it'll be worth it. I hope the progesterone puts an end to the spotting and you get smooth sailing for the next 9 months!

Sending more positive thoughts!!
I've only used the suppositories too. I was a huge baby when it came to using the injectables getting pregnant before. (DH had to give me the shots I couldn't do it)

Thanks ladies... I leave here in an hour to head to my appointment. I'm nervous and relieved sort of...
think I've come to the conclusion I have an irritable uterus, my midwife told me that a very long time ago, perhaps that's the reason I keep spotting. Sure wish DH & I could have sexy time tho, just too **** scared!

Sam - I am with you, I am a huge wuss with needles. When we did the trigger I freaked out and it took DH like 10 minutes to calm me down to do it. and that was an easy shot.
Celena - praying for you, sent you a text.
