Hi Michelle,
I decided not to go and get betas done. I know this sounds crazy but I don't want to go to the doctors yet. When I was pregnant last time my betas were perfect and I still lost the baby due to implantation.
Right now my husband is so happy and being so adorable that even if this baby doesn't make it I want him to enjoy every second of this pregnancy without the worry. He actually cleaned the livingroom yesterday and he has never cleaned, ever! He is so excited. I went food shopping last night and he wouldn't let me lift a thing. He keeps talking about the baby.
I will call the doctors next week and see what they say to do, I am sure they will ask me to come in.
I just want to enjoy this happy, fantasy life for a little while more.
What do you honestly think?

I totally understand what you are saying. I think you should wait as long as you need to. KUP though, I'm eagerly awaiting your good results.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think this is a great attitude. It's how I hope I will be next time I am pregnant. Intellectually, I would like to believe that I will not allow this other negative event to affect any future events, but I won't really know until I am actually going through it. I am glad you're enjoying it though!

You can still have fun being pregnant after a loss.... We are making dreams and plans. I feel like if we lose this baby we are more prepared to deal with the pain so we might as well enjoy every second we can!

No loss talk Missy, this one is it.
I'm a pusher, so whether it's poas or getting beta's, i'm like a bad afterschool special.

I am there with you Missy...I decided not to get beta's done this time and I have to say that it hasn't been as hard as I thought it would be. I am over 5 weeks now, no cramping and no more spotting...so for now in my mind things are good. Next wed is my ultrasound and we will find out then if I have cause to worry or not. My doc isn't a huge "beta" man and I have to say I don't mind....
