Hello everyone! My name is Lisa (26), and DH is Jason (29). We are just starting our TTC/ TTCAL journey. We have had 2 chemical pregnancies last year, August and December. I see my obgyn next week for our initial visit and *hopefully* testing.

My question to you all is if you may have an idea of what could be causing my losses. Both times I got pg at the end of my period, around CD 5-7. The first time I had IB and knew what was going on. The second I just felt sick right away at the same time for three days in a row so I took a test and it was BFP. Each time they were positive for a few days before going negative. My next period arrived a couple days late, and was heavier and more painful than usual. I'm just wondering if anyone has experienced something like this, or may have heard about it? I'm guessing some sort of LP defect, or a hormonal problem, but I really have no clue.

Thanks in advance, and I look forward to getting to know everyone

Hi Lisa, I'm sorry about your losses. I hope your stay here is short and your next BFP results in a beautiful baby in your arms I can't say for sure obviously, and I don't know anything about cases like yours, but my best guess would be that you don't have sufficient lining built back up in your uterus to sustain a pregnancy since you got pregnant so close to (or even during!) your period. Do you have any idea why you might be ovulating so early? Or are they maybe somehow BFPs showing up from your previous cycle and your period isn't really a period, but just spotting?

Hugs! I am very sorry for your losses. It's hard to say why exactly you had your losses. There are so many different reasons out there. I have PCOS & Endo and have had 6 losses with 7 babies. They have done alot of testing on me and still aren't sure why. Have you tried taking vitamin b6 to try and lengthen your LP?

I am sorry for your losses.

Are you saying you ovulate around cd5?

- How long is your cycle?
- How do you know you ovulate around cd5?

Hugs and welcome to the group!

I'm very sorry for your losses.

I would say that you're actually getting pregnant the cycle before your period but implanting very very late or getting very late positives.. I guess it's not impossible to ovulate that early but very very unlikely and if it is happening then I would say the eggs are not mature enough at that point and maybe that's what's causing the losses?
I would talk to an RE - they can do cycle monitoring to see exactly when you're ovulating and check your hormone leves and your lining, etc.

Thanks everyone for your responses

I've taken plenty of HPT's before each period which was the only reason I thought something odd was up with when I O. I did OPKs one cycle and ovulated on CD17, so I really thought this was strange. I'm usually 32 days, and have O symptoms consistently around CD17, so again, extremely strange. Hopefully I can get some answers next week, because I'm just not sure if I can handle more losses, you know?

Hopefully they can give you answers soon. Hugs! I know how frustrating it is knowing something is wrong and not knowing what it is or how to fix it.
