This was brought up in chat last night so I thought I would bring it up here. Anyone get the predictions done? I have in the past using Cheri and another one that I can not remember. They were both wrong and out of desperation for some answers even after they were wrong I went back and had them done again. <-- Yup, foolish but whatever
A few weeks ago I was browsing around JM and found out that one of our own, Shanise in the AM I pregnant board does predictions. Out of her love for the girls on JM she even does free ones on Fridays! So being leary from my past experiences I asked her some free questions and she was right, 100% right. So I did a paid reading and waiting to see if she is right again.
I know these predictions are to be used in fun, but I was shocked when she was right (and not all of the questions were TTC related).
If we are going to spend our money doing the predictions, we might as well keep it in the family. Here is her website askshanise's website or you can visit her on the AIP board. No, I do not get paid or any free readings or anything like that for posting this message.
Have you ever had a reading done and was it accurate?

I mentioned in chat last night that I had one that was right...I looked through my email last night and it was jennyrenny...She was correct on when I would get pregnant with Ella...She predicted that i'd have twin girls...I didn't have twins, but I had a girl.
When I was on vacation this summer I had a psychic reading done...Some of the things she said were right on, some were not...She also said something that haunts me to this day...She said i'm only ment to have 4 children...I sometimes wish I never went in to see her

Megan, that is awful. But I'm thinking it was one of the things she was wrong about

My husband has done readings for strangers that were eerily accurate. One reading he got the feeling that the brother was missing and the family didn't know if he was alive or dead, but he knew the brother was dead. He felt so bad having to tell this person that her brother was dead that he stopped doing readings. He does them occasionally for ourselves, but not that often.
I guess my point in rambling all of this is that I do believe in psychics, but I also believe most of them are just cold readers (like John Edwards or whatever that guy's name is) or full of crap.

Megan, I hope she was wrong. ((Hugs))
Shadeauxe- wow, that must have been really hard for your husband to tell the family that. I have heard that if a psychic tries to do a prediction for themselves or their immediate family that it will not come true because they are not to use their gift for their own gain. Is that true or just a bunch of rubbish?

nicole, I was pregnant at the time, and she said I wasn't going to miscarry that baby, and I did just 3 weeks later...She also said that Ella was an identical twin, and the other baby was a boy....that right there told me she was an idiot LMAO

I don't think it's true, we've both done cards for ourselves with accurate results. He has said though that his readings aren't as accurate when he reads for himself and family because his emotions affect the results. For example, if you're hoping for a certain answer, you might start to interpret a card differently than you might normally, just to make it fit the scenario you want. With strangers, you don't have any of that affecting you.
He's never done readings for money. I feel like I should mention that. Someone just asked him to do readings at a coffee house on Halloween for fun. That's where he met the lady in the story above.

That is really crazy, he just met her in a coffee shop and it happened? This all fascinates me. I think it would be a great gift to have but a burden all at the same time.
I will chat with you all later, I need to get back to work or I predict I will not have a job much longer!

I did the free reading through Cheri (March and Girl) but I just <3 Shanise! She is such a sweetheart for doing this for everyone over there. I have my predicitions saved to see for accuracy, but it is still fun regardless

OMG thank you for this missy you are such a sweet heart I swear.
And ladies I do do free reading on Mondays and on Fridays over on the AIP forum and you welcome to join in if you want to. I also wasnt going to do it for money either but all the girls i did reading for on AIP kept telling me I should do it so i did it for them really I mean yeah it does help me but I havent spent any of the money because I am saving it for my kids for christmas i figure bout time december gets here i should have enough money.
BUt anyways Monday and Friday is reading day you get to ask two questions doesnt have to be pregnancy related and has to be able to answer it with a yes/no. I use a pendulum to do my predictions. And i know some ladies have a christian religion and i have been asked before what i believe in and I want to let you ladies know before hand I believe in god i believe he is my inspiration i believe he is the one who gave me the gift. I feel like the holy spirit guides me to get answers.
also I really didnt ask her to do this for me at all i dont ask people to go to my website but if they do i see it as a blessing. I mean I do the free ones not so i can get my name out there but because I love the ladies on here and i love JM so I will start a thread on here monday and fridays too so yall dont have to come over there.

I had my cards read years ago in order to make a big decision. She said both routes would make me happy. No help at all! Lol.
I would love that! My hubby took me on my birthday, but they only took cash! Lol. I don't really carry cash now a days. I'd love a prediction! I believe in god, but I also believe that there are certain things out there that we cannot explain.

Yeah. And all she said to him was "Hi" and maybe her name. No other information. He was the one who picked up on the missing person. Needless to say, the woman was a little freaked out and so was my husband. Afterward, she was relieved to know what had happened to her brother even though it was bad. The whole thing was bizarre.

I have always been curious. I paid for a prediction on gender (yes, I am one of those hugely impatient ones, we knew Liam was a boy at 13 weeks and that was TOO long! Lol) but we lost the baby. She offered me a credit because I was not even able to provide the info before we lost the LO. I think that kind of reading is different though.
I think I am going to check out the lady you mentioned (sorry for talking about you as though you are not on the thread!). I have two buring questions I would like answered and even if the answer is not what I want it to be, I would love to have some other input. Possibly hope, if they are favorable ***Biding time til Friday***

I had one done a couple months ago bc I was having a hard time after our miscarriage. I wanted to know the sex of our baby that passed....and when we would be pregnant again. She told me our baby that was lost was a girl and then she saw me with a nov date for a new baby.
So far it isn't true unless I get pregnant with a baby due in Nov 2011.
