How long have you been TTC? Just wondering how long some of you ladies have been trying total.
For me It's been 2 1/2 years. Since August 2008.

This time around it has been 6 months, including the two losses. With CJ it was 15 cycles with three losses before I got my sticky guy.

Well, took close to a year to get pregnant before the miscarriage. I am still waiting for my freaking hcg to go to 0. It must really like my blood because it's hanging on for dear life in there.

I have been trying for almost 9 months, since May (well late April) of 2009. And I got pregnant in almost half of those months. What crappy odds

This is the first cycle after the loss (1 month). Including the loss it would be 4 months.

I was off the pill for a year when we got pregnant with Drew. We were actively TTC about 5 of those months, actively preventing for about 2, and NTNP for another 2-3, which is when we got pregnant. (I know that doesn't add up to a year. My cycles are on the longer side.) Of the months we were actively TTC we usually put up a pretty good fight, but not a super thorough one.
For us it's been since Feb. 2009, or 23 months, total. Although 10 of those months were spent pregnant, and a couple of those months were spent infertile after pregnancy and preventing.

Jan. 2009: Came off years of BCP and started TTC
March 2010: BFP -- finally!
Oct. 22, 2010: Drew is born, but has to stay in the NICU because of cord complications resulting in oxygen deprivation and brain problems =(
Oct. 27, 2010: I held him in my arms while Daddy, Grandma, Great-Uncle and I sang him to sleep =( Hardest thing I've ever done...
June 14, 2011: Drew's baby brother or sister waved hi to us with a BFP!
June 25, 2011: Natural miscarriage... Can we please catch a break here?
Nov. 2011: 100mg Clomid followed by 2mg Estrogen, Ovidrel trigger, and 200mg progesterone suppositories 2x/day 14 days. BFN.
Dec. 2011: 2nd medicated cycle. BFN.
Jan. 2012: Took a month off to breathe...
Feb. 2012: Same regimen of Clomid and other meds, add IUI. 2 eggs and 8.5 million swimmers. BFN.
March 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-11, follie scan CD 8 showed 6 follies likely to mature. Triggered, IUI on CD 14, 4 million swimmers. BFN.
April 2012: 75 IU Follistim CD 3-10. Scan showed 2 mature follies, 2 almost certain to mature, and two not likely but possible. (All 6 evenly and perfectly spaced out between the left and the right.) Triggered, IUI CD 13 with 5 million swimmers. BFN.
May 2012: 75 IU Follistim starting CD 3. Waiting to O. Timed intercourse. Likely 5 follies to mature.

I read all these posts and it makes me so sad. I never had to try to get pregnant and when we decided to try, I found out I was pg that month. Spent a month pg, then mc, then 4 months and a chemical, then next month I was pg again. So although it has felt like forever, it was only a little over 6 months. During that time, this has been my home though. I love everyone here so much and hope the best for everyone.
