Hi, my name is Julie and I wanted to take a minute to say Hi and introduce myself. I am a stay-at-home mom of three great kids (2 boys and girl). My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years. We began the ttc #4 journey in Oct of 2010. With each of our other children we conceived with the first try and just thought that would happen again. Well AF showed in late October one day late. I, of course, had taken a few hpt since I am not good at waiting and they were all -. In November I started having some strange brownish bleeding, totally not normal for me and decided to take a hpt. I'm not sure why that came to mind, but it did. Surprisingly it was +. I had a MD appt a week later already scheduled and we started all the testing. My hcg level was low which lead to an early ultrasound showing an empty uterus. The thought was an incomplete miscarriage. My MD followed my hcg levels and found that they were continuing to rise. Another ultrasound confirmed an ectopic pregnancy. We treated medically right before Thanksgiving. Ten days later, despite dropping hcg levels, it ruptured resulting in emergent surgery and the loss of a tube. I'm not sure when my cycle will get back on track, but we would still love to add another member to our family. My other tube looks "beautiful" according to the OB. Has anyone else been through something similar?
I have been looking at the site for a little while and just recently joined after seeing how supportive and knowledgable all the ladies are. I also posted this on the TTC board. I plan on being apart of this board and the TTC board, as well as, dropping by the AIP board. I love seeing all the BFP...It gives me hope. I wish I would have found this site years ago Thank you for listening to my story. I hope to get to know all of you...this site is kind of addicting Baby dust to everyone!!

Hi Julie and welcome to TTCAL. I am so sorry for your loss 3+ months ago I had an ectopic pregnancy but luckily the baby implanted outside the tube.
How are you doing? I know it is so hard and we totally understand everything you are going through. This is a very compassionate board; we have all felt the pain of loss.
There are a few girls here that have had ectopic's and there are even more that have gone on to have their rainbow babies. Again, I am so sorry.

Hi and welcome. I have had four losses, but non involving the tube so I am no help there, but I do understand the sting of loss. Good luck and I hope you get that baby real soon!

We've got a pretty wide variety of experiences here, and I know there are some ectopic survivors, so you'll be in good company I'm very sorry about your loss. When DH and I TTC Drew, our journey (including TTC, NTNP, and even preventing for a couple months) took a year. We were early 20's, healthy, and expected to get pregnant on our first try as well, so I know how disappointing that aspect can be. I look forward to getting to know you better as we continue on our TTC journeys

Hi Julie, welcome to the board. I'm so sorry for your loss. There are a few ladies here with previous ectopics and one tube. Our host Celena is one of them, but she's going through a hard time right now and may have missed this post. I had a possible ovarian ectopic in October, but it didn't need any medical or surgical treatment. I'm glad your tube looks good, and I hope you get another BFP soon.
