Today I basically moped around all day, I'm so pissed that I had to have a SECOND D&C and worried it will push back our TTC. I want to chart myself but I've only done so for one month and that was when we TTC this last one. I've been on the pill since I was 15, when we wanted to get pregnant I went off it (21 yrs old) and we got pregnant the first try. Then I went back on it til we were ready to TTC #2 and we got pregnant the first month. I really have no idea what to expect from my body or how long my cycles are. I have hypothyroidism and I only remember my cycles being irregular before I was on the pill and even after getting on the pill I was irregular which is how my thyroid was diagnosed. Once I was on synthroid I've been regular ever since but I assume it is also because of the pill. I am so jealous of you ladies that know when you will ovulate and what cycle day you are on etc, I am going off of NOTHING!!!!! Ugh, ok thanks for letting me vent again! lol

Rachel, no need to be jealous because we understand our cycles. At least in my case it is because I have been trying to have a baby for tooooo long
I understand your moping, I have been the same way lately and it is all totally normal. Not only are you trying to deal with loss but you are frustrated with TTC as well. ((Big Hugs))
Have you thought about buying some OPK's to try to track ovulation?

Yes I want to buy some OPK's but hubby is kind of against it, just wants to let it happen not feel like a chore. Not only that, but I have no idea how to use them properly lol And also since I just had another D&C I don't know whether hormones will affect them at all??

You can do OPK's after a D&C with no problem. However if hubby is against it then you should wait it out. Do you know about how many days long your cycle is?
If you do, you can use the free ovulation calendar found here:
Ovulation Calendar
It will not be an exact science for you but will give you a week estimate of when you may ovulate. Good Luck!
Are you waiting for AF to show or going to TTC now?

No I have no idea how long my cycle is. The last time I had a cycle was July and August 2010 and here's what happened. I went off the pill end of June, had a period July1-3 (normal length and flow as it was on the pill). Had another normal length/flow July 8th-10th. And then I don't remember the exact date (aug 10th, aug 14th??) but I remember after AF showed in Aug, fertility friend told me my cycle had been 22 days long. After that I was pregnant so.....I don't know lol.
I am going to talk with the doctor tomorrow and ask her why she recommends waiting one period to TTC after a miscarraige and if she can only tell me it is to date the next pregnancy I am telling her to heck with that we are TTc right away!! But if she convinces me that it is for the good of my body and next pregnancy I will likely have to wait And I totally just bought OPK's and pregnancy tests from amazon lol. 40 OPKs and 10 PG tests for $10, same as the dollar store ones I've used in the past and when we are TTC I go thru tons of PG tests so it's worth it no matter what haha.

$10 sounds like a great deal and you will be right there with most of us POAS addicts who test all the time. I hope you have a good doctors appt tomorrow. Update us how it goes.

Just to let you know, I am also hypothyroid (I had cancer and had my thyroid removed), and i'm pretty regular...I've only ever had 2 late ovulations in the last 3 years since I started tracking ovulation...I also had 2 D&C's, and then got pregnant the first cycle after the 2nd one...I hope your cycles are normal and you have an easy time getting pregnant again! good luck!!!

Glad you got some OPK's!!
I also am hypothyroid and am regular, so no help there. But even in the beginning tracking was the only way I learned my body.
