I was browsing another website and this woman had asked whether a rainbow baby was the child of mixed parents or the child of gay parents . . .
We use the term so frequently that I just had to laugh when I read this.

Oh wow, I guess I can see that someone would innocently think that That is pretty funny because we do use it, but for someone who's never had a loss(es) it wouldn't mean the same.

That is so funny. In fact, when I opened this thread my husband was like "Rainbow baby.....who has that woman been with?"
haha! Then I had to explain it to him hehe

The better question would have been to ask if unicorns were involved, because when I think of rainbows, I think of unicorns...or the lucky charms guy.

I found a really good definition of it and put it on my blog to explain it to my friends and family!:
"the understanding that the beauty of a rainbow does not negate the ravages
of the storm. When a rainbow appears, it doesn't mean the storm never happened or that the family is not still dealing with its aftermath. What it means is that something beautiful and full of light has appeared in the midst of the
darkness and clouds. Storm clouds may still hover but the rainbow provides a counterbalance of color, energy and hope."
Through The Looking Glass: What is a Rainbow Baby?
Not too sure how it could be a mixed baby though? That would be...a mixed baby? lol

In that case, my next baby will be! The first thing I ever said to my husband was "Oh my God, you look like a leprechaun!" LOL!
