Okay...again...please no one take offense at this post. It is meant in fun and feeling hopeful for the future.

When you get your rainbow baby....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?

What names have you considered?

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all?

I personally like these threads! My answers are probably so outdated because it has been 15 years since I had a baby. I did not even know people had their children rear facing in the car seat until last week, lol.

When you get your rainbow baby....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
I am torn with this. Part of me would like to do natural childbirth like I did with Kyle but then Lori momof5lopez had such a great experience with the epidural that it has me thinking. I got to share part of her birth experience with her via phone and thought that was pretty amazing!

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?
If a girl ALL HELLO KITTY AND PINK! If a boy, not sure.

What names have you considered?
Our names are Scarlet for a girl and Crimson for a boy We have had our names picked out for 2 years now!

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?No on the breastfeed, I never produced enough milk when the boys were born so will probably go straight to bottle. I did however pump for a few months with them and bottle fed them breastmilk along with the formula. These cloth diapers now a days are so fancy so I don't know! What is co-sleep and babywear?

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all? I work from home so very little daycare. As we plan to move back down south I know my mother in law would be at our house so much and that she would be a big help! She is awesome.

This is fun, thanks. I never allowed myself to really think "What would I do when pregnant and have a baby"... This is making me feel more positive about the future!

Hmmm.....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)? This is a hard question. Epidural. Hands down. But a friend and I had our DD's on the same day. Only mine was vaginally and hers was a c-section. I tore really really really bad (and DD was only 5lbs) My friend was recovered and back to her normal routine long before I was. Weeks before. That's the only reason why I hesitate to put down vaginal birth.

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy? I would do a wild safari theme for gender neutral. I might decorate a boys in cars....(hot wheels, etc) With a girl I might do like an old fashioned tea party theme, or an Asian type theme (those spread fans on the wall) I'd probably do it differently, mostly just because that's the one thing about ttc I haven't thought about much, so these ideas are just off of the top of my head.

What names have you considered? Boys: Luca, Jensen, Roman, Ryder. Girls: Tempe, Maya, Finn, Dahlia.

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)? I'll do half and half with the breastfeeding and formula. I might try cloth diapers, but i'll probably just go with disposable. No co-sleeping.....I wouldn't ever sleep that way! And I will definitely vaccinate.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all? Only if I start working from now until when I get pg. Or if after having the rainbow--I decide to work. I'd more then likely be a SAHM.

What are your answers Ash?

When you get your rainbow baby....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)? I would like to shoot for a natural childbirth, but we'll see how I feel when I'm in labor

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy? I'm not totally decided, but I am considering either a woodsy animals theme (raccoons, squirrels, deer) or a garden theme (lady bugs, snails, rabbits). I think they could work for either gender. Right now we don't have a separate room for our nursery, so it would be just one half our our room

What names have you considered? Right now our girls names are Nora, Evelyn, and Audrey, and our boys names are Benjamin and Lewis. We have a hard time with boy names.

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)? I would like to breastfeed, cloth diaper, baby wear, and vaccinate. I don't want to co-sleep, and I haven't looked into anything about car seats.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all? I have wanted to be a SAHM for a while, which would work with my schedule now, since I most likely would be able to take a baby to work with me on the days I babysit.

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
- I'm hoping for a natural birth this time. I gave in with DD and had epidural (after 28 hours of labor and no progression until after Pitocin) so I would like this time to be smoother.

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?
- DD's room is already painted with a monkey family and a little girl and her name hanging from a sign, so we're gonna add the next baby's name to another sign.

What names have you considered?
- Plenty lol...we had a hard time with Danica.

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?
- Breastfeed for sure! I BF'd DD until she was almost 14 months and loved every moment! I tried cloths and decided they were not for us...I hate laundry lol. Co-sleep, only in so much as having a bassinet in our room, not in our bed. Baby wear for sure...I love our Moby! DD rear faced until her feet touched the back of the seat (13 months) so we'll do the same again. And yes to vaccinate.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all?
- Daycare yes after my year leave. I may go down to 4 days a week after #2 if income allows it.

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
I have had two C-sections...Having said that ... I know it is not that popular but I would still shoot for a VBA2C hands down if I was pregnant with one baby , if it were to be twins , I would be unsure about a VBA2C, it has been done but.... I would have an open mind 3 or more babies C-section .

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?
I think for a girl I would do a fairy-land type nature theme, bright and lively.. Little boy.. Hmmm not sure.. Maybe whinnie the pooh... Spelled wrong, I can't spell when I type for some reason ..

What names have you considered?
Well... Girls,Rhiannon,Thistleigh.. Soo many... Boys, the middle name would have to be William(family thing) Boys would take more time I think to come up with the perfect name:-)

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)? I would try with all of my might to breastfeed for as long as I could... I would know more this time around and work harder at it then last time.. I try to be green but don't think I could do the cloth diapers. I would vaccinate.. I am a sling mama all the way, I love my ring slings

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all?
No, I want to stay at home .. the next baby will most likely be my last... and I just want to be there... if we are still able to that is ..

When you get your rainbow baby....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)? I have always been induced...My babies never wanted to come on their own...In a way i'd like to go into labor on my own, but now with all the problems i've had, even though Ella wasn't a full term stillborn, I have a feeling that i'll be asking to be induced a week or two early...I'm sure my anxiety will be through the roof! So because of that i'm sure I will have an epidural or I couldn't make it through labor..I've also had IV drugs too....Maybe my rainbow baby will be my easiest labor! LOL

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy? well the baby will be sharing a room with us, so I don't get to decorate a nursery...I haven't thought about what i'll decorate the baby's part of the room in yet...I already have a lot of girl stuff, and I still have some things left from my son...His was air planes, with light blue and light green...If we have another boy i'll probably use that.

What names have you considered? I have some names, but I don't like to share

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)? Yes I want to breastfed, I am thinking of cloth diapering, and I co-sleep just while breastfeeding, and I want to baby wear!...i've done it all before but only half way...I was never extreame about it...I never thought i'd want to breastfeed again because it was always so hard for me (I did breastfeed 2 out of my 4 children), but since losing Ella that's been something I missed so much...I love the bonding time with the baby.

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
I hope to have a vaginal non medicated birth like I did with my son

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?
We are actually moving into a town house in a few weeks so itll be with us, I have no clue how we will decorate the room

What names have you considered?
We have settled on Bryson Scott for a boy, girl names are still in the air

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?

I plan on breastfeeding and will vaccinate.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all?
I actually work from home so I won't need to worry about daycare or arranging my work schedule.

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
In a hospital and as natural as I can tolerate.

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?
I am fairly lazy. I don't really go nuts with decorating. As long as the colors of everything kind of match, I am happy.

What names have you considered?
Picking a name for my son was tough, so I didn't want to start thinking about names until I knew a gender.

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?
Breastfeed - yes, as long as I can take it, cloth diaper - yes, cosleep - no. I don't know what "baby wear" is. vaccinate - definitely

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all?
Yes even though it's extortion up here. I am currently paying $1200/month for a 5 year old. Daycare is one of the main reasons we waited to have another child. I won't change my work because we need both of our salaries.

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
at my local birth center. i am hoping to have another water birth, it was the best birth experience out of the three.

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?
already have it all planned out. and since the new one will share a room with rowan i am starting next month on decorating. the theme we have picked is gender neutral. it will all be hand made. im as excited and when its done i will post pics for you.

What names have you considered?
well we will probably still use the ones we had talked about for the last pregnancy, since the names just didnt seem good enough for them after we lost them, does that make sense? but we will be using the first names of our angels as middle names for the next one
so if it is a boy it will most likely be lestat kjartan stephen and a girl would most likely be named jude valhalla christina.
kjartan (key-are-tan) is a viking name and valhalla is basically the name of viking heaven( the hall of the slain)
my hubby is norwegain and has a big thing for vikings . and it means a lot to us that the new one name will be so intertwined with the twins . but then again like with everything in life that could all change by the time we are pg again lol.

Do you hope to breastfeed? yes
Cloth diaper? no
Co-sleep? yes
Baby wear? yes
Extended rear face? maybe
Vaccinate (or not)? yes

Will they go to daycare? no
Will you change your work schedule at all? yes i will be dropping saturdays.

Yep, basically it's using a sling, wrap, or other kind of carrier to carry your little one 'hands free' You can distract yourself from TTC for a good week by looking into different carriers

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have):I am praying for a VBAC, my doctor is already on board so that is good

What would you decorate the nursery ? We have Winnie the pooh and we will be moving Hunter into her own room once the baby is here and then I will do her room something girlie

What names have you considered? We have a boys name but a girls name is going to be hard. Since me DD name is Hunter I don't really feel like I can give another baby girl a really girlie name

Do you hope to breastfeed? yes cloth diaper? no Co-sleep? No, but baby will sleep in our room for the first few months
Baby wear? Sometimes Extended rear face? Yes
Vaccinate (or not)? No

Will they go to daycare? No, I am a SAHM
Will you change your work schedule at all?

Sorry, I abandoned my own thread. It is a busy-crazy day around here! Lol. But yeah, babywearing is basically owning a sling/wrap and carrying them as much as possible (like instead of using a stroller or when you are doing things around the house, not all the time though).

When you get your rainbow baby....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)? I really, really hope to have a natural birth. I know I won't be able to do it in a birthing center (which is fine, Liam was born in a hospital). But I had a natural with Liam and I hope I can have another one. It was a great experience. I am sorta leaning toward a water birth, but I am not sure if that is possible either. I just would like to avoid a c-section...they terrify me (yeah, I am a wimp)

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy? We have the room already painted The colors are lime, teal, and aqua (yeah, it is super-bright!). We will add pink owls with a tree on the wall, in a mural if it is a girl. I will use all basic bedding, but pink. If it is a boy, we will be doing frogs jumping on the walls. And the bedding will, again, be simple in the aqua, teal, and brown.

What names have you considered? We will be naming a little girl Elliott Caroline (Ellie) and a little boy Kieran Patrick

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?

~I do hope to breastfeed, it was easy with Liam and I hope I have as much luck with the next one.
~I do plan to cloth diaper, as I do with Liam. Gotta get my money's worth!!
~I want to co-sleep (not in the bed, in a cosleeper) for the first five or six months. Although I did find it hard to sleep, so I am not positive on this one.
~I will *sorta* baby wear. I liked my sling with Liam, but did not do a lot. I think it would be even more helpful to do so with number two though, just cause I imagine it will be busier.
~I absolutely intend to extended rear-face, Liam is still backward at 15 months.
~And I will vaccinate on a regular schedule. I sorta picked and chose with Liam, but wish I had not and will go with the typical schedule for number two.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all? I am not sure about this one yet. I was lucky enough to work from home with Liam, but I am not sure if that will be an option anymore. The little girl I nanny for is going to kindergarden next year So I really won't have her much anymore. I hope to find a way to stay home (given the cost of daycare!!), but we will have to see when the time comes.

I have loved reading these answers

I want to have a natural birth at the hospital. No meds what so ever unless I have to for the baby's sake.

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?

What names have you considered?
Girl Madeline Marie
Boy Eli Matthew
Twin Girls Madeline Marie & Kayelynn Grace
Twin Boys Eli Matthew & Austin Michael
Twin Boy & Girl Madeline Marie & Carter Austin

When you get your rainbow baby....

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?

Vaginally, hopefully. But I will be induced early.

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?

I haven't had a space to decorate as a nursery for either Erin or Patrick, so I haven't decorated a nursery since I did for Cora. We'll be moving....somewhere....in June, to a bigger place so I'll get to this time. I have no idea what I'll be doing, though, I've not been letting myself think about it.

What names have you considered?

If it's a girl her middle name will be Reine (the french word for queen, pronounced like "wren"), after my sister who was stillborn. I'm liking Aria Reine right now. Stumped for a boy.

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)?

Breastfeed, yes. Cloth diaper, no. Co-sleep, a bassinet next to my bed. Baby wear, yes! I love my wrap. Extended rear facing, if s/he isn't a screamer like his/her older siblings. Vaccinate, yes, and our doctor does them on a more spread out schedule than normal.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all?

I'm a SAHM, so no. My "work" schedule WILL change though. lol

How do you hope to give birth?? (or how will you have to)?
I will be having a repeat c-section at 38-39 weeks. If I had to do labor again I am ALL FOR EPIDURAL lol mine was wonderful with Alex

What would you decorate the nursery in, for girl and boy?For a boy it is already decorated from Alex, blue walls and a puppy dog theme! For a girl, maybe Hello Kitty, not sure!

What names have you considered? For a boy it will be Noah James, for a girl it will be Anabelle but we plan to call her Bella (picked out when we were 16 and is NOT from twilight!! lol)

Do you hope to breastfeed? Cloth diaper? Co-sleep? Baby wear? Extended rear face? Vaccinate (or not)? I hope to breastfeed but with Alex I barely had milk so it wasn't easy and we had to supplement. Cloth diapers are not for me, co sleeping is not for me and wasn't for Alex either but we'll have to see. Baby wearing, yes if the baby doesn't get too big fast like Alex did! ERF- yes, Vaccinate-yes.

Will they go to daycare? Will you change your work schedule at all? I work at home with a lot of flexibility since I am a contractor so no daycare and my work schedule will be whatever I decide!
