Does anyone here have painful ovulation?
I don't know why I bother with OPK's, for the most part I know when I ovulate because I cramp on my ovaries. Every 3-4 cycles or so I get ovulation pain so bad that it feels like childbirth. It lasts for about 6 hours and I can hardly do anything and to walk is almost impossible.

Most cycles I get some ovulation pain, but not every cycle, so I am too paranoid to stop OPKs It feels different on the right and left too- sharp pains on the left and pressure on the right. I'm sorry yours gets that bad, Missy- that's awful

I know what you mean.. Before I had my loss though I felt some bad mid eyely cramping. aroudn O time.. nothing major but uncomfortable .. After my first trigger shot with injects, it hurt soooo bad I was hunched over swaying back and fourth like a cow about to birth , I thought somehting broke in there !! I had never had an O like that but then I had also never ovulated 3 mature follies possibly more small ones... Since my loss I have ovulated twice.. both times, once with trigger and once on my own , it hurt so bad I just wanted to pretend I was a ball on the couch, it hurt sooo bad... it's almost like my body is saying "ya want it, here ya go, muah haa haa haa"

I have had O pain like that, but I know for sure its more of a cyst ruptering rather than o'ing. When I O normal, its just mild pinching/cramping for maybe a few hours, but when Im doubled over and cant walk, I know the folicle got to big and ruptered. Ive gone to the er in the past when this happens, and they can usually confirm with fluid/cycst sac being visable. I get this like you Missy, ever 4 cycles or so. I have had one since Mia was born, 2 cycles ago. I told Jerry, I knew it was a cyst cause I could not move off the couch. And it was exactly 24hrs after a positive opk......

So does that mean that I don't have a chance at being pregnant this cycle? That sucks! OK, onto next month!

I get mild pain sometimes during ovulation, nothing horrible...I sometimes wonder if it's just from too much BD'ing for me though lol

No, not all! An egg can still jump out of the cyst.......Theres women who's follies get to be over 30mm and still get pg! Did not mean to make it sound like your not ovulating....an egg is still being released!

Oh I totally do this and it's gotten worse with each pregnancy, but only when I ovulate on the right side. It wasn't as bad this last cycle and at my u/s the tech said I still had some of my corpus luteum left on my left ovary. So I don't know what my right's issue is, lol.
Good luck honey!

So you watch your cycles like you did when you were TTC but just DTD during the opposite times?
Thanks girls but I am in so much pain I can't DTD... Yuck! We did on Wednesday so we still have a chance.
