Hi!
I had a MMC, and a D&C on Dec 3, 6 weeks ago. I got my period 4 weeks later and will be ovulating this weekend.

Do you think its too soon to ttc. The doctor said to wait 3 cycles. So the lining of the uterus is back.
Thanks!

I'm so sorry for your loss Some doctors say to wait 1 cycle, some say 3. I think most everyone here will tell you to TTC when you feel emotionally ready, and you will get pregnant again when your body is ready.

Well I am NO doctor but it seems like doctors have such a range of suggestions! My dr recommended to wait one cycle, but after havinga 2nd D&C for the same miscarriage she said I am ok to TTC as soon as my HCG levels are negative. And I wrote on here the other day a friend told me about an article they read that said women who TTC SOONER rather then later carry their next baby to full term more often. This was only the statistic for women who had 1-2 losses that were "flukes" and not a loss caused by something or recurring losses.

Of course you have to feel ready to TTC and if you do I would call your dr and ask some more questions about why they don't want you to try now, or even get a second opinion if it is really important.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I agree with talking to your doctor to find out the exact reasoning and then getting a second opinion if the answer still doesn't satisfy you, as long as you provide all the info to the other doc that this doc has. I carried my baby Drew to term and wasn't told to wait. We were just told to make sure we're ready emotionally, and that my body will get pregnant when it can. We started trying right away.

thanks for the replies, it was most likely genetic and something was wrong with the chromosomes of the fetus. It was in the first trimester.
