Ok so I had my followup today and asked for signs of infection to watch for and was told: Fever, chills, severe pain wihch she elaborated to pain that doesn't go away or stop and will progressively get worse.

Tonight as I was doing some organizing I feel like my uterus is sore...it's not my stomach, it is my uterus and it is uncomfortable/tender (but doesn't hurt I guess) when I bend over. I am exactly 1 week post D&C (for the 2nd time) and I had some of this happen last time before I started to bleed excessively. I'm trying not to worry but in my mind I am thinking "OMG do I have an infection?" (not likely based off what the dr told me to watch for) or worse yet "is this my uterus making blood clots again to get something that was missed and am I about to bleed excessively again?!" (which is awful anxiety for me because I felt like I was in a sci fi movie when all that bleeding was happening, it was really quite traumatic!) so really just want to know if anyone else experienced this after a D&C? It's not cramping, it's just tender but I wouldn't say I'm in pain either...sorry to be so confusing!

I know what you are feeling! I went through it with my D&C almost 2yrs ago. I was sore for a few weeks. ((Hugs)) I hope you feel better soon! Of course, if you feel any pain call your doc.

ah ok great, that's jsut the reassurance I needed to make sure it was normal and other people had it too. Thanks! I will for sure call the doctor if I have pain!

I wasn't sore with my D&C. I hope it's nothing!

I'd keep an eye on it...I too had 2 D&C's, and with my 2nd one I wasn't sore for more than a week...If it doesn't feel good in a few days i'd contact your doctor and let them know...I don't think I was sore for more than a week after my first D&C too...I hope it gets better soon!

I got a post D&C infection. It started hurting Monday afternoon by Tuesday I could hardly walk. So if its an infection the pain will get worse fast. Hopefully its just tender.

I was tender from my D & C for a couple weeks. I actually went to the ER at 10 days out because I was still sore (it was a weekend day) and I was still bleeding a lot and passing clots. Turns out everything was fine, I just had more lining to shed and the soreness was because it had been sucked/scraped out and then was contracting on top of that. Hopefully that is the issue and you are going to start feeling better soon.

But if something feels off...go to the ER or call the doc. They are there for your reassurance and you don't want to ignore something that feels important to you. I hope you feel better soon
