Those are so cute Missy!
I do a lot of painting (boxes, and holiday decorations), so most of them are packed up...I also do a lot of hand sewing...I've been making an advent calander for the last 4 years or so...I was working on it when I lost Ella, so I couldn't get myself to work on it in the last year...I'm not sure it will ever be finished ...I have a lot of christmas projects I haven't finished yet...I'll try to get a picture of something soon!

Oh my gosh Missy. Those frames are gorgeous. I love them!
I mostly sew so that's what I've been doing. Here is what I've been working on.
This started out being for my DD's teacher who just went on maternity leave, but I didn't get it done in time.

And these are for my dd although I keep hoping she'll want to potty train soon.

I love to do anything with acts and craft. I wish I could open my own store one day. My sister-n-law cuts things out in wood and I paint them. I will have to take some pictures and post them. I could do arts and craft all day.

I like to make paper crafts. I have made people albums (I don't like doing a whole album for someone else), cards, collages, and various posters. I have a file with pics of them, but it is stored on hubs computer. I have a pic of the one I made my son...I have made five or six of these. And a couple that are not birthday related, but "event" related. I am making a friend an album from her Disney trip right now. It is taking me F-O-R-E-V-E-R!
That is a "first year" collage...it has pics from birth to age one and all the major milestones with dates interspursed throughout.
Those frames are awesome, btw. I love them

Katie - Can I suggest something for the weddings you are helping to plan? I made a "guestbook" with lots of pages in it. What we did is a couple of the groomsmen passed out the pages to everyone and we made an announcement that everyone has to fill one out. There were no rules, they could write anything they wanted or draw pictures or whatever they wanted. Make sure you bring crayons, markers or pens to the wedding as that is the only thing we forgot - but everyone pulled pens and stuff out of their purses and it worked out.
What we got was way beyond what I ever imagined it could be. We first looked at it the day after the wedding..... People wrote things that made us laugh and cry and laugh even more. People got creative, drew pictures and we got some drunk notes as well... it is insane. It is the most cherished thing from my wedding (besides my husband). We have decided that every year we are going to open it and read them all over again!
From something I threw together the last minute came priceless memories that are incredible! PS I used card stock paper so it will last longer and the paper would not crumble if food or drink got spilled on it.

We still love reading them. I'm going to have to talk to the girls about the guestbook idea. I love it!!! Thank you so much for sharing

I love everything!! Megan, I showed James the doll and he was like "WHY?!" lol I don't like the crocheted one as much as the sewn one I saw...but the chick who makes that one charges $100+ for it!!
My most recent thing was my very first ever cloth diaper, a minky cloth diaper cover for Cammie:
I've begun learning to cook and bake and this is my most recent pride and joy from when I hosted Christmas Eve dinner:
I'm working on a pretty awesome birthday cake idea for Cammie though!
I also did this Through The Looking Glass: That's Elfin' Craftastic! and this Through The Looking Glass: Gotta hand it to ya... last month, just for the heck of it.

Missy: I was thinking about starting a thread like this this morning, but I forgot. It's like the third time this week. Get out of my brain! haha
I like photography, sewing, painting, scrapbooking and baking (not necessarily in that order). Crafts are fun!
Here is a sample of different stuff :
A painting of an image from Fantasia 2000, about 4ft x 2ft
I made the bunny, not the Domo
Mickey paintings at work

Wow, sorry I am in your brain but as I get to know you on this board I find we have things in common! I love your pictures, I am in complete AWE... and your painting is WOW!!
Rebecca, I owe a sewing machine and hardly know how to use it. I love your diapers, and am partial to the Hello Kitty one. If I knew how to sew I would totally sew my own dresses. My mom made all of my clothes when I was little.
Ashlee - What are the yellow tags on Liam's picture collage? I totally love that and want to make one with pictures of all my boys over the years.
Here are some candles I made: (as you can see I do not spend ALL my time on JM, lol)

I was just joking about the brain thing.
What do you use to put the writing on the candles? I liked your frames too. Don't buy a cricut, you would totally get addicted to using it with making frames.
I forgot to say that the diaper covers with the little critters on them are freaking adorable. Did you use a pattern? (Rebecca)
I love looking at pictures. Sorry I added so many. I get excited talking about crafts and I don't really have any friend in my area who are into this stuff.

Totally do not be afraid to post pictures around here, most of us love them!
What I did with the candles is print out my design on velum paper and use double sided velum tape to attach them to the candles. I have so much fun making them. Here is one I made my friend Tina for her Birthday.
Missy Speer's Photos | Facebook
I will go look up better instructions for you... BRB
Here's how to put together a memory candle from an existing pillar candle:
- Wipe any dust or debris from the candle with a damp cloth, and allow to dry completely.
- Measure the circumference (distance around) the candle.
- Using vellum paper, print out your verse, poem, photograph, or any other printed material so that it will fit comfortably around the candle. You'll want any text to be readable without having to turn the candle around in your hand. Use fancy fonts or colors if you'd like to.
- Cut the paper print-outs to fit the candle if necessary.
- Place and adhere the paper to the candle using double-sided tape or thin glue.
- Add any decorative touches you'd like, such as ribbon, shells, or flowers, with glue.
- Allow the glue to dry completely.
It is a great gift and not very expensive to make, I buy most of my candles from IKEA.
I totally want a cricut but I want a better lens for my camera more! Hopefully with my hubby starting a new job we will be able to get me one for my birthday!

Cool, it's a good idea for a quick gift. I'll have to keep it in mind. I am forcing myself to use the copious amount of crap that I already own.
