So we bought OPKs yesterday for the first time. They say when to start taking them, plus I can sort of know when to take them based on my chart. (Sort of, I'm new to charting.)

THESE tests (dollar store) say that if there is a line, it's positive and you ovulate within 24-36 hours but I had read that it's only if the test line is darker than the control line? We're trying a boy sway so we're only planning to BD ON O day...I'm just trying to figure out *exactly* when that will be. I know that I can Google all of it but I don't feel like I'm getting good answers and I'm still a bit lost.

You usually O 24-48 hours after a positive OPK. And as far as a line goes all of the OPK's I've ever used the test line has to be as dark or darker than the control line for it to be positive. HTH.

I have always been confused by this. One brand I had said a line and now what I have now shows pictures of the line having to be as dark as the control line. I'm not sure, but confused as you are.

Every test I have ever used the test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. I've never had directions say that a second line was positive.
